Scene it. He want to fight 3 more elite opponents than retire.

"My goal is to retire beating 3 straight elite opponents, possibly a future Hall of Famer'

Jones is an intelligent guy, but a dillusional fighter. He can't except that its over. That its been over for almost a decade. Its sad, but a common story in boxing unfortunately. Boxing is all he knows, and I think because of the fact that his father has such high expectations of him and was abusive toward him, he's not dealing with what he perceives as failure well. Hes not dealing with it at all actually. It wouldnt be a bad idea for him to seek out some kind of counciling. His family is too close to the situation to help him through the retirement process and coming to terms with himself as a person. Its also very possible that subconsciously he thinks he deserves to get beaten up if he cant win.

Great, I thought for sure the HBO gig would keep him out of the ring.
(It must be true, HBO don't pay)

Looks like Roy Jones Jr. seriously wants to die. He should have retired in 2003 after the first Tarver fight or even after the rematch. Why does he continue to embarrass his self by losing to scrubs like Calzaghe, Glencoffee, Green and Lebedev is beyond me. It can't be money and only money that drives him lately, he's clearly addicted and doesn't give a damn.

Massively lucrative career where he promoted himself.
Good stable career woth HBO for at least 10 years.
    Major endorsements
    Midly successful entertainment career.

Family man, who doesnt have 10 baby mommas like Holyfield, or opartied like crazy and spent stupid money like Tyson.

    How could he be broke?

  13. He'll be dead by the 2nd fight. :-(
