He gave Lebedev a run for his money. The knock out was horrible and he should retire in my opinion but he was arguably beating a guy who should be cruiserweight champion going into the last round. His fans don't want to see him continue really but the guys in his 40's and can make his own decisions.

I would agree that jones didn't do bad and may be winning but is not healthy to keep getting koed.

He staggered Lebedev in the 9th round with a left hook. Huck never hit Lebedev that clean or staggered him.

Roy Jones was utterly shot, exhausted by the 2nd round, demented, and jelly-legged, but was nevertheless pot-shotting and at times embarrassing a lumbering "prime" Lebedev.

    This is true.

Jones was not, however, winning the fight by any stretch of imagination and I've read comments on ESB as if he dominated the fight.

Roy should never fight again, but to his credit he gave Lebedev his second toughest fight to date and the only cruiserweight to go past 6 rounds with Lebedev.

I remember Muhammed Ali sayin the same thing in his documntry or something like that.

I just hope he won one more fight & then retire.

If Roy MUST fight, he needs to take on fights similar to Sheika and Lacy. He lasted longer against Lebedev than most thought, but in the end, he was still knocked senseless.

Its sad because he seems to think people only love Roy the fighter when hes fighting and on top, but he doesn't understand that people will still have the same love for him and admiration long after hes done boxing.

Jones was quite fat and slow as a cruiserweight, he should've bulked up to a max of 190 lbs!!
