Have you guys ever noticed this? Roy is the only one who will co-sign Larry, or laugh at his jokes. . . Or talk to him like he is an equal.

I remmeber this one time where Lampley was so rude to Merchant, talking to him in this infantile tone and Merchant just like put his head down with this look of sadness on his face, like "this truly is no country for old men. . . " I felt bad for Larry.

When has Lampley done that... I don't remember that. I always thought they had great chemistry together. Never think I'ver heard Lamps being rude to any fellow commentator.

I can't remember after which fight it was, but Merchant was talking, and hten Lampley just talked down to him so bad. . .

Overall, they do have good chemistry.

Well, as of late he certainly has been very kind, and respectful to Merchant. . .

One time, he LOL'd at his joke. . And another time he was like "what is your opinion, Larry"? Yet another time (many times), he's said "You're absolutely right Larry. . . "

Roy is nice to everyone. Watching RJJ fights it seems like george foreman hated RJJ.

I got that impression too. . . It seemed like George was always kinda against the guy who was "slicker", and he liked the boxers who more resemble his style.

Possibly Roy's ring arrogance reminded him of when Ali took it to him.

To some extent it is his job when he is broadcasting to be respectful. It also seems he may need the money and wants return engagements.

Lol man I don't know what all fights they were. . . If you have been a faithful watcher of all HBO live broadcasts for the past few years, you'd know what I'm talking about.

There was this one time where he let out a loud, belching laugh in response to a joke Larry made. . .

And just in general, he seems to respectfully listen, and respond to Larry. . And give his commentary co-signing, and credence.

I notice in general a lot of the times hwen they are rude to each other, or respectfully disagree, or co-sign each other. . Like one time when Lampley tried to interject, and "correct" Steward about the likely score of the Cotto/Clottey fight, Steward responded with this condescending, cackle of a laugh.

Roy is a class act all the way around. He's acted up for the camera before but has never really denigrated anyone who didn't take a shot at him first.
