Yep! Kinda like it was basically crickets from some members in this forum after guys like Ortiz and Toney got popped for the same **** that made Barry Bonds' hat and shoe size grow. But when Povetkin had a 0.000000001 trace of MALDONIUM found in his system... you saw "BAN HIM NOW!! DAT DRUG CHEAT DOE!!" from those same people that had nothing to say about Toney, Ortiz, Berto or Tarver :)

    Just sayin!!

    Well said.

Pimp C is no where to be found whenever a black fighter is in trouble, they actually go up in his estimation when they take part in criminal activities.

I wouldn't be surprised if this was Pimp C praising thuggery

Just listen to this piece of scum, this is the thought process behind people like Pimp C.

    More than athlete.

He was a roided glass jaw athlete that boxed bin men most of his career.

Thread is pretty funny. Always easier to say everyone succesful is on steroids to feel better about doing nothing in your life.

Ggg fought bin men most of his career and when he finally steps up he looks ordinary.

I think the problem with boxing fans who witness a fighter in "the present" remember him as he was when he left the sport.. Totally irrelevant.

We remember Duran , SRR, Ali, etc as they were at their finest moments.

Historically we have to think of Mayweather at 135/140, Pac at 126, 130, and Roy in his MW/SMW prime.

Prime Roy could take out any many to ever live from 160-175lbs. Roy has a beautiful boxing mind. He may not have fought with text book fundamentals but that was not from a lack of understanding! He was somewhat awkward by design and matched that with his raw athleticism (not dissimilar from Pac!)

People see what they want to see.
    Some things are speculation.
    Some are facts.

Fact one, Jones got done for roids.
Fact two, hes chin was certified glass.

Roys an ATG no doubt but I think his in ring boxing iq is overrated (his out of the ring boxing iq is top notch)

I dont think his in ring iq is on mayweathers, hopkins or wards level...

    Just imo.

Still tho. The guy was a phenom and regardless of exactly the scope of his iq hes an atg imo.

Roy Jones Junior, the same boxer that was eating horse steroids during his prime? The same steroids that enabled him to jump multiple weight classes and become competitive?

Remember the **** Roy was saying about Wladimir after the Brewster loss? "I think he needs to just retire. He's a 4 round fighter. Really another Butterbean." Lol! SMH ****ing tool.

Think he said they cant fight from the bottom either (dog fighting terminology)

One of the few times Roy has been so wrong in his assessments, imo. It was unbecoming of him actually, because hes better than that.

Yeah I was pretty annoyed by those comments of his. But since then he's been a good job on the HBO crew. Who knows maybe there was some bad blood between him and Wlad behind the scenes or something.

I do remember Wladimir saying something along the lines of "Roy fought a good fight against Ruiz. But against a real super HW like me or Grant he would stand no chance."

Maybe that rubbed Roy the wrong way and that why he said those things after the Brewster loss. IDK

To be fair to Roy, basically all the American boxing media was mocking Wlad after the Sanders fight. Lampley and Merchant were saying he had no chin, heart etc. After the Brewster loss it did look like his career was over. Even Vitali was trying to convince him to retire. Nobody and I mean nobody at that point would have believed he would go on to dominate the division for a decade.

He could have removed the padding inside his gloves or laced them with concrete and his fanboys would still tell you it would have had no bearing on the result of any of his fights and '' It was all down to Roy's crazy skilzz y'all, GOAT 4LIFE!!''

Wlad actually jabbed Roy a bit for his comments at the Brewster fight here in this clip at 4:15. Lol! This was footage before the first Peter fight.
