He's the most talented ever, but he's not the greatest of all time.

Very talented. But boxers legacies are measured against quality of opponents.

Cab drivers?, those are champions. As far as I remember he won major titles in every division he went to and unified light heavyweight fighting and beating champions.

Want to see cab drivers?, Joe Calzaghe's career is available.

Yeah and yet ironically with perhaps the exception of Ruiz, Calzaghe would have beaten any one of Jones's opponents at their respective stages when Jones beat them.

****ing haters need to get a clue. You forget (again) Calzaghe stopped chasing 'cab drivers' back in 02 and began chasing Hopkins who wanted none of that ****. And I sure as **** didn't see Jones chasing an 'easy belt' over in the UK either in his prime.

I'd certainly say he is the most talented fighter of all time. I agree with all those who say his resume could certainly have been better, shame he wasn't promoted properly and refused to get in bed with Don King. His style has never, and will never be emulated by anybody. His ability to string together combos, hooks with the same hand in particular, are just as unique, efficient and trademark as Mayweathers defence, if not more so...

He stands as my favourite fighter of all time, and that's quite a statement coming from somebody who's english!

Please, don't even compare the two. I like Joe, but this constant back and forth between Americans and Brits is ridiculous. Calzaghe was a good champion....not an all time great. Sorry, but a Calzaghe highligh reel would not only put most fans to sleep, it would be about 15 second long...all from the Lacy fight.

Tarver is better than him though.
