2. Roy was on his way to stopping Griffin before he foolishly lost his head. It was a deserved disqualification. But he then iced him in a single round before Dariusz fought him.


3. McCallum didn't have Roy shook, but I agree that a younger MW version of Mike may have beaten Roy. Mike was a great fighter in his prime.


4. Eric Lucas wasn't a D level fighter. If he was, hardly any fighter would hold wins over elite/A level guys.


5. Roy didn't fail to stop guys like Gonzalez. He was in cruise control. He was more than happy for fights to go the distance unless a knockout opportunity presented itself. The only guy that Roy really went after hard, was Griffin in the rematch.


6. He won the first Tarver fight fair and square and he fought him another two times, despite being labelled reluctant. He also went into the rubber match straight after the Johnson loss without a tune up, after being out of action for more than a year.


7. John Ruiz wasn't cherry picked. Roy tried on two occasions to fight Evander Holyfield, the first of which was in 1998, which was confirmed by Evander's attorney Jim Thomas.


8. Joe Calzaghe was a scavenger. Just like Bernard, he told the media that he wanted nothing to do with Roy because he was shot. Yet just like Bernard, he then went on to fight him.


Regarding everything else you've wrote, I pretty much agree with it.

As much as I hate to say it - Evander DUCKED Roy.

 

I don't the like word ducked, because it always gets thrown around too easy. But Jim Thomas who was Evander's attorney, stated that in 1998, Evander turned down Roy's proposal, because at the time, he felt as though he was in a no win situation. And I get that. You have to look at things from everyone's perspective. But it proves that Roy wasn't reluctant and was only content to fight the Frazier's and Kelly's of the world. (no disrespect to those guys)

No, he shouldn't. I had no positive opinion regarding Glowacki as of a week ago but just based on that result he is levels above what Jones should be stepping in with nowadays.

 

Forza knows this, but like Rico, he'd take pleasure in seeing Roy knocked out.
