    No its not irrelevant.

When you have to mention guys that knocked him the **** out it shows that he doesnt have many quality wins.

He has 60 plus fights and only has around 10 good wins.

And ppl slam Mayweather when his resume ****s all over Jones and hes a much beter fighter than glass jaw Roid .

Anyone who believes that Holyfield who fought the likes of Tyson twice,Lewis twice and Bowe three times ducked Roid Jones is either on drugs or doesnt know **** about boxing, in your case and in the case of Loudon the resident Roid **** rider its both.

Log off and learn the sport.:deal

Agreed only difference is he's not holding some Alphabet title hostage.

He was a great fighter (abeit with a tainted legacy because of the PED accusations) but his record is more padded than a pillow factory the day after thanksgiving.

His glass will get shattered again the second he steps in with a live body

    Only 10 good wins?

    Floyd's resume sh*ts on Roy's?

How do yo work that out if you objectively apply the same criteria for both of their resumes?

You're seriously telling OTHER posters to log off and learn the sport?

    Seriously??

    :rofl

Here's an excerpt from Jim Thomas' book, who was Evander's attorney for 13 years:

    https://books.google.co.uk/books?id...ved=0CCYQ6AEwAWoVChMIvoLY8dqyxwIVRrUUCh0P7gOq

But I guess that Thomas was lying, and Roy only wanted to fight the easy fights, right?

    :hi:

Go and view how many ranked fighters he fought.

He didn't hold any belts hostage.

    His record also isn't padded.

    Your post is completely inaccurate.

He ducked Roy to have a super fight with Lennox Lewis? You seriously believe that? :rofl:patsch

Evander and Lennox both has Mandatory obligations to deal with and everyone including Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder knew they were going to have a huge unification fight. That is why the Roy fight didn't happen Evander had bigger fight with Lennox.

A better question in why did Roy not fight Lennox.

    You said nothing about wins.

You said he only fought part time bums.

Are the guys mentioned part time bums?

I cant make it easier than that for you

Jones gets criticized for the weak opposition he was facing by the critcics.

And instead of answering them in the ring by fighting someone who didnt had a day job like a fighter should do no he goes on and releases a horrible rap song telling how great he was.

What a clown, calls himself superman but is afraid of going to Germany to fight the real champion, calls himself superman and ducks Hopkins for years and years, the same superman that was afraid of Vassily Jirov a guy that would go on to get schooled by a fat James Toney.

He was no superman not even close to it he was Reluctant Roy a guy that was afraid to take risks, took caution to the limit against overmatched opposition, and got his glass jaw shattered numerous times. And Superman wouldnt need roids to beat the likes of Richard Hall LMAO.

Hey Shi'ite head, as a previous poster noted, Holyfield was in a lose/lose situation where fighting Jones was concerned. Never did I suggest Evander was afraid of Roy. Why don't you try cleaning the Shi'ite out of your eyes then go LEARN HOW TO READ.

Roy was looking to fight Holyfield as early as 1997 - which is the time frame in which Lewis was still in recovery from the McCall knockout. So there was no "Superfight" to be had between Holyfield in Lewis during that time...

    The "likes" of Richard Hall

This would be the same Richard Hall who pushed DM hard? ..twice!

For the record Halls test levels were multiple times higher than Jones in that fight

Why don't you just read the excerpts, instead of putting your own spin on things??

It's truly pathetic that you're going to argue against what Evander's own attorney has said.

    It's just pure ignorance.

It was nothing to do with wanting to fight Lennox. The reason was because he felt he was in a no win situation at the time.

Just read the link and stop being silly.
