RJ: I think its a beautiful thing for him to try the sweet science. Id have to see what hes weighing if he wants me to come in there and give him a try at it, but if he want it that bad, I might give it to Kimbo. Its a great opportunity for him. Its a great fight for Florida. Boxing needs all it can get right now, so if the fans get interested in wanting to see that, we can do that. Kimbos got a lot of heart, hes got a lot talent, and it took a lot for him to get where he got in MMA. I think his main skill is boxing anyway. I think hell be fine with it. You know your boy James is stepping into the Octagon with Randy Couture. How do you think thats going to play out? RJ: Well, I think its a wonderful fight. I think its a great thing for MMA and for boxing because it gives us a chance to cross over again and meet in the middle and I cant wait. Prediction? RJ: I gotta go with my boy James.
Roy Jones would easily beat Kimbo in the ring. Kimbo has no chance, even a washed up Jones easily wins this. You must not know to much about Boxing if you think Kimbo wins this,big difference jumping from MMA to boxing than Boxing to MMA. Not saying Toney is gonna beat Couture but his chances are much better than Kimbos against Jones. Boxer is capable of beating a top MMA guy in the cage(see Mercer-Sylva. MMA guy has no chance of beating top boxer in the ring (see Anderson Silvas pro record and hes considered one of MMAs best boxers).
I saw this interview. There is absolutely no logic in what Roy is saying. He is a promoter though, so thats his job.
Roy would have to actually throw a punch in order to win this fight.... I havent seen him doing that in a while
I think Slice actually has some natural boxing talent but its too late for him to develop into a good pro. He will make Jones look like hes 25 again,Kimbo wouldnt even be able to land anything clean. If Kimbo takes the sport serious a fight with Buttterbean would be intresting.
roy did get knocked out by danny greene....just saying anything can happen with roy at this point of time, and i hope this fight doesnt happen because i wouldnt want to see roy reduced to fighting circus shows. Didnt anderson silva want to fight RJJ in the ring?
