Roy Jones Jr or Pernell Whitaker?

    :lol: That's absurd. Any day-of-fight weigh ins I remember usually had him outweighed by around 5 or 6 pounds. I can't remember him being outweighed by more than 10 pounds, let alone 20-30.

    More like he was getting hit by a cruiserweight, while he himself was a smaller cruiserweight.

    Agreed.

    I'd say Roy was about an "average" sized light-heavy - perhaps naturally smaller than some, but as big or bigger than others.

    No. Every punch in the book, Roy threw more effectively

    Not only was Roy much faster but a devestating body puncher, the best ever. The kind of body puncher that made the Oliveres' and Zarates' green with envy. One shot to the kidney and it was over.

    My extensive collection of Roy Jones fights tells me this is true and that ESBers have a long way to go before they begin to understand the true capabilities of a young Roy Jones

    I think some of the new memories of Jones are replacing the old ones. Which is a shame because it's like remembering the Ali that fought Berbick instead of the one that fought Patterson.
