Roy Jones Jr seriously thought about fighting Lewis in 2003. Could he have done it?

You actually went full ****** didn't you? Never go full ******.

I didn't know Lewis dominating Holyfield for 11 out of 12 rounds then getting robbed =Life and Death.

Lewis was a 6'5 giant with amazing speed and power, I wanted to see this fight because I wanted to see the effects of a Lennox Lewis power punch .

I remember my friend was saying if Lewis landed clean, Roy might have died in the ring.

Even at Jones best and he was great. Lewis would have won.

thing is, leiws wouldnt be lazy versus RJJ, because hes was a huge name. He would treat the fight seriously ad end it early with his massive power advantages. But remember we talking about an ATG LMW going at essentially what is an ATG super-HW. There is really no question what will happen.

And Lewis only got lazy against unknowns or who were dead boring, like Klit and Rahman. SUre if Lewis came in out of shape like againsdt Klit, and old, and got lazy shakes as with Rahman then Roy might sneak a win. But Lewis would have to be really dumb to let all that happen on the same night, and Lewis is far from a stupid man.

It will take just one punch really to end it for Lewis, essentially, but 1000 for Roy to scrape it from Lewis.

The uppercut that Lewis landed on Vitali would have literally killed Jones. No joke.

of all the MWs though he would have the best chance of pulling it off.

Cant see any other LMW, MW, SMW or even LH of that era getting anything but KOed by Lewis.

the difference is Tyson could take a shot from a 250 lb giant, a natural LHW like Jones would get floored by the first uppercut/right hand Lewis would land, he was just too small to compete with Lewis

I have no doubt that he would have fought him ,I also have no doubt that LL would have killed him to much size for Jones to deal with .

I think it would take Lewis a few rounds to connect against that version of Roy who had legs, and would be super cautious. I voted Lewis KO 4-6
