His ego will never allow himself to admit his losses. Johnson and Tarver still ko'd him regardless. Impressive performance against Lacy but he was more shot than Jones is. I respect him because he got me into boxing but it's painful seeing him fight now and no matter who he fights he cant turn back the hands of time to return to his glory days.

Dehydrated? Did he just say that. Every big fight I go out and watch with the fellas. When Roy fought glen I decided to stay home and watch the fight with the wife. Eoys comeback fight on regular hbo, I thought it was the perfect opertunity to introduce the wife to my favorite fighter. Wrong. I almost cried. Almost. That was a good ole fashion ass kick.

Roy is becoming more and more entertaining. I really hope he gets the job done. Damn if I don't love a comeback story!

I've been watching some early Roy Jones recently, and god damn he was good. Its a shame great fighters don't have the capacity to see when they're shot, and just take a couple of easy fights in their hometown before retiring. That way they can go out on a win, make a bit of money and give the fans something to remember them by. I suppose a great fighter's ego will too often prevent this happening

He wasn't more shot than Lacy, it's just that Lacy's fight style puts him in worse situations being past it and obviously looks worse. Jones was a special fighter in his prime, one of a kind, even when shot he will be able to do certain moves to show he's fresh when in reality he's not even close. Don't tell that to Calzaghe fans though, you take it that far and hurt their pride by trying to downgrade Calzaghe's best career victory.
