RJJ is the biggest threat with the biggest name Calzaghe can fight right now...Dawson would pose the same threat, but not the name...but even after RJJ destroys Tito, i doubt Calzaghe will fight him because he knows he can't beat RJJ...Hopkins is a good fight for Calzaghe, but RJJ is the much bigger threat...

I don't think Jones is a big threat to any of the top cows right now.

RJJ is still faster than Calzaghe, hits harder, and Calzaghe doesn't have the power to KO RJJ...and RJJ will be back after he destroys Tito, we'll see if Calzaghe even mentions his name...

this has just humoured me nice thread just for the comedy value, atm i dont think roy jones jr could beat a punchbad very well, and calzaghe has said in interviews here in wales that he wants to fight both jones jr and hopkins.

I'm a huge fan of RJJ's but I dont think he can win this fight at this time of his career. Jones isn't active enough for Joe C anymore and Jones goes to the ropes to much. I would like to see it happen just for the simple fact that Roy's legacy wouldn't take a hit for losing to Joe C at this point in his career but he would get Huge credit for his status if he could somehow pull it off. Also to whoever said that Tarver and Johnson dont hit harder than joe C need to rethink what there saying. Tarver is a very big puncher and Johnson can crack to. Joe C isn't known to have 1 punch ko power at all, he uses punches in bunches with alot of pressure. I dont think Joe C really should fight either Hops or Jones, because its not gonna give him much credit for beating up two way out of there prime fighters. With these fights Joe C has nothing to gain and a whole lot to lose

RJJ is a threat to nothing but his future health.
So is Trinidad for that reason.

dude I dont believe RJJ is that in danger. He hasn't had a career where he took tons of punishment. He got TKO'd by Tarver and was KTFO by Johnson but he's nowhere near alot of guys still in the game. Jones still speaks plenty fluently showing no signs of verbal problems such as holyfield, and he dont look nearly as bad in the ring as guys like Gatti and Castillo did in some of there last fights. Now if he keeps taking abuse like some of the above and still fights then I would agree but he hasn't been that bad lately.

Jones isn't busy enough to defeat Calzaghe. Neither is Hopkins.

Believe it or not, Antonio Tarver would have a puncher's chance. But he's shot, too, and he'd most likely get torched as well.
