...if a fight between B Hopkins & T Adamek cannot be made, what are the chances of Adamek vs Jones??? All Adamek wants is a big $$$ fight against a big name. Jones is a future HOF'er & that fight would attract a ton of interest. Even though Jr looked real sharp against Lacy, things would be alot different in a fight with Tomasz because Adamek is no Lacy. So the question is...would Jones want to take the chance of getting starched again??? :think
Doubtful. Jones probably will only take fights that he's reasonable sure that he can win at this point. Of course he loves the limelight so he might if it can get hyped enough.
Roy Jones would fight Adamek for the title in a minute. He may have been starched in the past - but he'll take a chance for a new prize such as the cruiserweight championship.
Jones wouldnt fight Adamek. He was blabbing about it after the whole idea of Hopkins-Adamek came to light, but his talk very quickly died down before anyone got a chance to be interested.
Jones is not looking for that calibur of opponents anymore.. Hes looking for smaller but some what named guys like Green, Lacy, and probably furthur down the road, maybe a fight vs Jermain Taylor (if he gets starched again in the super 6) and than somone like Diaconu or so rather than higher calibur opponents like Adamek and Hopkins. Roy knows his limitations, don't be fooled when he goes to the media and calls out the Klits, Adamek etc... cause its not true, well its true but he doesnt really mean that he wants to0 fight them. Hes just trying to rub his name out there. Its basically a popularity contest for him. Than after a few call outs he will pick apart another Lacy calibur opponent, this time being Danny Green.
No he doesn't. Hes just doing this kinda non sense to promote himself more and probably **** Bernard Hopkins off. Roy knows his limitations if he still belives he can do it, he wouldnt be fighting somone like Danny Green right now...hed fight a higher calibur opponent.
