You are right he officially weighed in at 193. He and Mackie Shilstone both claim the scale was wrong and he had weighed 199-200 on their own scales. Roy was disappointed that he didnt get officially weighed in at 200lb

That rules out VITLAY from being a HW Champion too then, surely :huh

Ruiz was bad, but was he any worse than Sanders, I don't think so somehow.

    'A+' for effort.

The only thing I take issue with is the Tito fight - which is a totally meaingless win for 3 obvious reasons.

    1. Tito was at the least well past prime, more probably shot given how he looked against Winky.

    2. Inactivity; Tito had fought twice in six years.

    3. Roy Jones was a former Heavywight title holder, Tito was a natural welterweight fighting well above anything he had fought at before - he looked very out of shape.

Overall, Roy Jones in terms of ability is one of the greatest ever, but he just doesn't have the resume to match the achivements and ability, IMO.

There has not been a Heavyweight Champion since Lennox retired nuthugger.

Vitali came the closest because he had the prestigious Ring Magazine Championship.

Either way we are still waiting on THE Heavyweight Champion and the politics of the ABC organizations will ultimately prevent it.

So basically what you're saying is "yes, VITLAY cannot be called the HW Champion any more than Jones could"

That's all I wanted to hear, thanks :good

Duran's resume still tops RJJr's and in a PFP sense, Duran mops the floor with Roy Jones!

No. There was a Heavyweight Champion when Roy fought at Heavyweight. Instead he chose to handpick Ruiz perhaps the worst beltholder in the Heavyweight Division in the last 25 years. Do you understand this nuthugger?

If Jones and Duran both had weak resumes why should either be in the top 10? Jones should not be there.

The same heavyweight champion that VITLAY lost to, yes, glad you remember that guy :deal

Ruiz is far from the worst beltholder in the last 25 years, especially if you include the WBO.
