He certainly will outbox him, but Jeffries was very strong and could probably hit very hard, so Roy needs to be careful not to get too close.

I'm very, very quick for a HW, but very few boxers in history can match/exceed a prime Roy in terms of speed.
Short answer, I'm clearly not as fast.

Corbett is a speed freak who relied on that heavily to outmanuver his opponents. This time he'd face a bigger freak who also was better boxer.

I agree. Fast as Roy is, he wouldn't be able to dance circles around a guy who could get on his bike for 20+ rounds. Both have a hard time landing but Roy's explosiveness, work rate, and power are the difference maker.

Let's be honest and I say this in all seriousness, RJJ smashes Corbett. This uncompetitive massacre would be atrocious.

That doesn't mean he'd beat Roy Jones.

That would be one of the two heavyweights he actually fought.

It's true. Corbett would look inept and way out of his league as RJJ tees off at will. And it would have a similar ending to this fight. I think if you ever wanted to see a one sided destruction, Jones vs Corbett would be your fight.

Sometimes, this forum can't be beat for its comedic value.

RJJ would make them look like clowns with two left feet. Outside of a lucky punch, neither one of them has a snowballs chance in hell vs prime LHW RJJ.

It's a figure of speech for how over matched they would be.
