Has anyone ever KO'd those 2? And Jones stopped Hill, no one else has. He stopped Malinga who Nigel Benn couldn't (who also beat Benn). He stopped Tate, who Julian Jackson couldn't stop.

    Who hits hard then?

Give me an example of a middleweight fighter that stops top fighters that have never been down or stopped in their career with one punch in the first round.

That's how you people are making it sound with this accumulation talk.

Pavlik is putting people to sleep that have never been DOWN BEFORE!

Taylor is world class and has a hell of a chin. He did 24 rounds with a guy that put down Tarver who's a very tough fighter. If you don't believe that look at the work he put in with Johnson. Point is, Pavlik put Taylor to SLEEP. Taylor was NOT getting up.

Give me an example of a middleweight who has some kind of unreal mythical power and can stop people the way you seem to imply they can.

Why, so you can argue the point regardless of what anyone says? We all know you love Pavlik. Cool for you.

He is a hard puncher. No one said he wasn't. He doesn't stop fighters with one punch like Jackson or McClellan did. He didn't stop Taylor that way. And Hopkins hurt Taylor more than once, and please don't try and make out 40 yr old Hopkins as a hard puncher. He wasn't. Pavlik has Trinidad's type of power, or Cotto's type. Its not the same type of power as those other guys. He doesn't have Jackson type of power, where one punch out of no where with no follow up and the guys eyes roll back in their head.

Pavlik has only stopped on top rated fighter who had never been down before. Taylor.

First of all I don't love any fighter. Don't hate me just because I can pick fights correctly.

And oh yeah, all of a sudden Hopkins can't punch again. I forgot the way things worked on ESB.

Perfect style to beat Jones. Big, strong, powerful, durable and chipping away from round 1 to 12. HOWEVER if Taylors speed and power gave him that trouble you DO NOT want to see Jones unleash on you.

If Pavlik survives 4, it'll be interesting.

We've still not seen someone intelligent box PAvlik i.e. Calzaghe, Hopkins etc Miranda and Taylor are riddled with flaws.

Hate on you? I picked the same fight you did. I "hate" on you because you pop into threads, same some exaggerated beligerent bull****, and leave. (like the committee threads)

Hopkins has 8 KO's in his last 21 fights over the last decade. He is not a puncher. Did you forget that?

An accumulation puncher is a guy that often wins by TKO.

Isreal Vasquez winning against Marquez in their second fight is an example of a TKO.

Pavlik knocking Zertuche the **** out while standing up is a KO.

    Get it right.

Yes, Pavlik is a very heavy handed accumulation hitter, they also win by straight KO if they wear the guy down enough.

Yes, Marquez was straight up out on his feet essentially, I'd rate Vasquez's power P4P to be better than Pavlik's, he's also the same guy that stopped Larios in 3 rounds, something Pac, nor Linares a division up could do.
My dear Capfunds, Pavlik knocked Zertuche the **** out AFTER landing a vicious amount in accumulation as the rounds went on. Need I remind you it was round 8 and Zertuche had taken a hell of a pounding?:yep

It's hilarious that Pavlik haters have to pull out RJJ, the greatest middleweight ever, to find someone who can beat the current UNDISPUTED MIDDLEWEIGHT CHAMPION OF THE WORLD. I know - that last phrase makes you haters cry. Deal with it.

    Pavlik has 29 KO's. 22 TKO's and 7 KO's. By comparison Jackson in his first 32 fights had 29 KO's...12 were KO's while 17 were TKO's. Both Jones and McClellan had 9 KO's of their first 28 and 29 KO's respectively.

Pavlik was a skinny little kid back in the day.

You can't use that as a comparison.

Just as Prescott can't use Roy's relatively recent KO's as an example because they are both irrelevent.

Capfunds argument is silly because TKOs are handed out more liberally these days. By all stretches of imagination, Taylor and Miranda were KNOCKED THE **** OUT. However, those went down in the books as TKOs.

9....and he is not a puncher now either. That was my point, that Hopkins wasn't a puncher NOW and so neither is Jones. Thanks for proving it for me. Or is that what you thought:lol:
