RJJ was only in his MW prime in 93-94, before moving north to higher weights that
    he is more famous for.

Who would win if 1994 RJJ fought early 50's SRR?

Would RJJ outspeed the slightly slowing SRR ?????

I like this match-up! Think SRR just simply outboxes RJJ, dragging him into the later rounds.

The best 160 version SRR would stop him late for mine, while the lesser 160 versions we saw would lose a decision. The best RJJ we saw was at 168 imo.

Concur with JT's 168 statement re: RRJ.

Robinson from 1949-52 was still close to his prime. I think this version of Sugar Ray could match Jones in the speed department and had a better skillset. Roy was uncommonly talented though so it`s a close match. If it is the post '55 version of Robinson I think he loses a decision.

I think Robinson was the better middleweight. Jones pinnacle was at 175

    Robinson was truly Great .

But so was Prime Jones .

I pick Roy Jones to win on points .

Jones is overrated as hell. Robinson had the speed and timing to not only keep up with him but to knock him out.

RJJ might be one of only a handful, possibly less, that beats SRR at 160. RJJ was a wrecking ball at that weight, but with speed and incredible reflexes.

    Roy might be too big.

But he's so inexperienced at middle, and Robinson is so incredible. I'll go for Robinson with a same-day weigh in and Roy if it's the day before. How's that for a cop out?

Roy Jones was actually at his very peak at `68. He didn`t really stay at `60 and established himself on the championship level that long. Though his KO of Thomas Tate was impressive.

Roy Jones was in his prime from his first pro fight. I don't know why people get cute trying to narrow his prime down.

He was at his peak over 12 rounds before he fought twelve rounds?

Agreed. Jones looked very human against Hopkins at 160.
