Give Robinson the peds jones was likely benefitting from and it's no contest in my eyes

Yes and its pretty clear to anyone who watched Roy that by the time he turned pro he had it all.

SRR is the GOAT for me, but he wasn't as fast as Roy.

Roy, in a same day weigh in, isn't beating Sugar Ray. Certainly not 2 out of 2.

Your probably right though I think SRR quickness would be much closer than Roy was used to. That would make the other variables come into play. Who can establish a good jab? Who was willing to take chances to lead? That could work either way.
I was a fan of Roy but I wish we had a little more film of Robinson at his peak. There's the possibility this fight is a stinker as well.

If he was transported to the 50s no, he would struggle to make weight. SRR wins

Sometime in the middle rounds in a competitive match Sugar Ray will hit Roy with a hook and he'll do a little jig , then he's put to sleep with a combo. Jones got by on reflexes and speed not sound technique. Add a weak chin and you ain't beating the greatest pound for pound fighter with just those
