haha, yep. the TV commentary just before the KO was a classic: "Tyson... showing no speed whatsoever... can't get off two punches... that's the mark of a shot fighter... [BANG]"

Mike Tyson by KO, and here is why.

Fight is at heavy weight, advantage Mike Tyson. Power punching, clear advantage for Mike Tyson. Ability to take a punch, clearly advantage for Tyson.

Here is the big one, reflexes. Roy Jones Jr. was never a defensive wizard, his reflexes and ability to slip around punches even with his hands down is what kept him safe during his prime. He can’t do that anymore and he’s not gonna do it at a higher weight. Mike Tyson is going to catch him at some point, even if he’s losing six rounds to zero. Tyson is going to kill him with the first landed punch he places flush.

I would pick Roy Jones Jr. if Mike Tyson showed up woefully out of shape, or if he gassed after a round, but I don’t think that’s gonna happen. Both fighters are older and I still think Tyson will push a busier pace and that will eventually catch up to Jones.
