If the heavyweight version of Roy Jones fought the Ali who lost to Frazier who would win? My pick is RJJ by Split Decision.

No way Jones beats the Ali that lost to Frazier in the first fight.

    Ali TKO

Ali is far to big and proven to be getting beat by Roy Jones at Heavyweight.

Ali by a shut out. :good

Ali wasn't a big heavyweight, he was tall, but he weighed less than Ruiz and he was getting caught by Frazier's quick hooks all night long. Don't know why you think he wouldn't get caught by a quicker RJJ. I can see Ali winning but not by shutout.

By big that's what I'm saying, Ali was 6'2 and had a longer reach that Roy Jones, he'd pick him off on the outside all night long.

The Roy Jones that is considered an all time great wasn't really a heavyweight.

+ Roy doesn't fight like Frazier. he doesn't keep his head down, bob and weave, and lunge in with left hooks. Roy Jones is the opposite in fact.

I gotta go with RJJ for the sake of controversy. I know most people will pick Ali because that is the safe pick, but safe picks don't make for good arguments on forums.

People pick Ali because he made an entire career out of being a heavyweight, and he'd much more comfortable at the weight than Roy Jones. And Ali on Frazier 1 night wasn't a bad version of Ali by any stretch of the imagination, he was just up against an all time great with an awkward style. Jones had one fight at Heavyweight against Ruiz. :verysad

I think this would be an interesting fight. I think RJJ that fought Ruiz was very tactical, still had plenty of power and was still VERY quick. I also don't think Ali has overwhelming power but I think his reach, height and his ring smarts would land him a decision 116-112. If you dont' think RJJ would'nt have his moments your delusional.

I think Roy has more problems with Shavers and Frazier than Ali, because of styles. Shavers= to much power.... Frazier=to agressive, awkward
