Are some of your predictions serious? Roy Jones was one of the best 160lbers ever, but he was extremley vunerable at 175lb, and the greatest knockout artist of all time archie moore will put jones to sleep. jones lost alot of his punch at 175 and his chin was weak there too. Moore will exploit this flaw with his pinpoint accurate shots.

I have to laugh at people picking jones to win "wide decisions" LOL..........ezzard charles a MUCH better 175lber fighter than roy jones, barely eeked out a split decision over moore and in the 3rd fight was behind on points and nearly kayoed, and harold johnson one of the best boxer ever was outpointed by moore 3 times.........yet jones is somehow going to win nearly all the rounds vs moore? i dont buy it.

in fact.....jones will have alot of trouble outpointing moore if this fight goes to the cards. Jones and his low left he may get away with it against ham and eggers........but against one of the sharpest pinpoint straight right hand punchers ever, moore will connect with that shot. Jones NEVER EVER fought anyone near the capabilities of a 1952 archie moore. jones just too small for moore.

Moore KO 8 Jones- FIGHT EVEN on cards

That was not moores prime....were talking about the 175lb version of moore here of the early 1950s.

Montell Griffin gave jones huge fits in the first fight ahead on points.........average tarver and average hitting glen johnson knocked him out with one punch......

if jones fought the competition at 175lb moore fought.....he would have had many losses on his record

Moore didn't improve much in science/skills towards 1950. He was simply outclassed by a much superior boxer, who won at least 9 out of 10 rounds.

Yes Jones is an all time great puncher at 175 and this has been proven time and again, fighters never stopped:

    Montell Griffin KO1
    Virgin Hill KO4

So you discount fights when Moore supposedly wasn't prime (yet he was getting some of his best wins), and quoting when Jones was way past his prime, Suzie unbiased as always

The only person who has a shot at Jones at 175 that Moore faced is Charles, who I would pick, everyone else is losing, and losing pretty emphatically for the main part

Again I say, Moore put Rocky Marciano down with a single right, for only the second time in the Rock's career, so that credential elevates Moore as an alltime great puncher, way ahead of Jones, as good a puncher as Roy may be. It also makes one wonder, though not really, what would have happened if that same shot that decked Rocky had landed on Roy's chin instead.

Roy would drop dead. That makes you think how the fight would play out when Jones feeld Moorés power early and not be koed. Would he just fight on to survive and lose a wide UD?

Ohhhh wait a miniute it did, it landed cleanly and Jones took it

You're referring to Ruiz' knockdown of Holyfield, I presume, and don't you think that Holyfield at that time was somewhat diminished from the version that fought Mike Tyson and caught that Tyson shot in the opening seconds of that first fight which he recovered from in a second or two. Do you think that Jones would have managed to take that Tyson shot?

Holyfield was diminished BUT he still had a hell of a chin, that took everything Lennox threw at it, better than Marciano's too, so I think Jones chin taking Ruiz's shots says something.

Past Prime Jones-Shot Tyson is a tough 1, Tyson could take him out quite quickly, especially as Jones is smaller/weaker less durable or Jones could take a wide UD winning every round
