WRONG.......In 1947( I have the film) moore knocked out jimmy bivins in 9 rounds with a straight right hand at the end of round 8, bivins so discombobulated after being saved by the bell on the canvas he was unable to answer for round 9.......

Bivins in 1947 knockout loss to moore was 8-2 in his last 10 fights! with his only two losses coming too top fighters ezzard charles and lee q murray. during that time he avenged the lee q murray loss with a decision.

btw i notice how u said 8-5 in his last 13 how bout if i say 36-5 in his last 41????........ u fail to mention 3 of those losses came against ATG fighters walcott and charles(anyone could lose 3 in a row vs these guys)....and that no one other than a very good 6'3 210lb heavyweight lee q murray was able to beat him(bivins also beat him)............

face it bivins at 27 in 1947 on 8-2 in his last 10 fights against top opposition was in his prime

Bivins fought much tougher opposition 1946-1948 thats why he lost more. I have film of bivins, he is the same looking fighter in 1947 at age 27 and he was still beating all the top contenders......he simply could not beat mature versions of moore and charles because they were way too good for him.

not many would rank ruiz over nino valdez and bob baker. valdez was just as big except far more powerful much better jab and much better boxing skills. baker was the much better boxer than ruiz

Bivins is well past his prime, the 8-5 in his last 13 fights significes he is not the same fighter

Suzie your ignoring those 3 defeats, before his 8-2 run because it suits your agenda. Bottom line is he is 8-5 in 13 fights and losing to fighters he'd already beat

Bivins was never the same fighter at this stage to the 1 that destroyed Moore years earlier. HE was losing to many fighters he previously beat and was on a massive losing streak

Really which 2 linear champions did Valdez/Baker beat? Because Ruiz beat 2 linear champions and a nice tally of contenders

no ur ignoring his 28 other fights because it suits ur agenda. bivins 36-5 in his last 41 heading into moore fight in 1947.

U say 5 losses, yet 3 of those came to ATG first ballot hall of famers....u actually expect bivins to beat prime charles and prime walcott???

Bivins was beating everyone not named charles or walcott leading up to the moore fight(yes he did beat murray)

WRONG....bivins only destroyed moore years earlier because moore weighed 168lb to bivins 186lb.......moore was small and had not yet matured. when moore got more mature...he dominated a still 27 year old bivins because moore is the better fighter.

Bivins was 27 years old......how can u be physically past ur prime at 27? he was also top rated Ring Magazine contender.

WRONG AGAIN..........lee Q murray fought Bivins in 1943 and lose one of the worst disputed decisions ever recorded.

    Murray Can Take Joe Louis

    BY JACK CUDDY

    NEW YORK, Dec. 7—(UP)—

Larry Atkins of Cleveland, America's second ranking prizefight promoter, believes that
Lee. Q. Murray, big Connecticut negro, is the most dangerous potential threat to Sgt. Joe Louis' heavyweight crown. "If the war wuz to end tomorrow,"says promoter Atkins,"I'd say the man most likely to lick Louis wuz Lee Q. Murray." This Atkins' praise of Murray was so entirely unexpected that a startled reporter inquired of the visiting Cleveland entrepreneur last night, "how come you boost, Murray, when he almost'ruined Jimmy Bivins, your meal, ticket, last week?" Atkins, a youngish, broadshouldered, black-haired chap of 41, fixed the reporter with steely eyes, and remonstrated,'In our Cleveland promotions,we have no meal tickets. We have cards. A Cleveland fighter is a card as long as he can lick anybody we bring in. When he loses to an outsider, the outsider becomes the card

So as you see even in 1943 when u claim bivins was "prime" he still had major major problems with lee q murray

2ndly, only reason bivins beat moore was because moore had not fully matured yet and bivins had a massive size advantage. bivins beat charles because charles was a fragile 165lb teenager taking the fight on short notice from the army.

once moore and charles became more mature they dominated a STILL YOUNG 26-27 year old bivins

massive losing streak? outside of walcott charles bivins was beating everybody

LOL valdez beat EZZARD CHARLES in a clear unanimous decision..... A Much much better win than anything ruiz ever ever recorded. As for Tally of contenders....valdez also knocked out rated contenders like Hurricane Jackson, Heinz Neuhas, harold Carter, Pat Mccmurtry, and in his mid 30s completeley wiped out the entire european heavyweight scene including a 1 round knockout of 29-0 joe erkstine. Valdez is a far bigger puncher than ruiz.

ruiz won a decision over 39 year old evander holyfield....BIG DEAL...holyfield was shot he couldnt even beat larry donald. this win does not count. anyone could have beaten that evander.

Ruiz beat hasim rahman, woooo!!!! rahman is only one of the worst linear champions in history!

Bob Baker did not get the chance to fight linear champions because patterson ducked him, marciano management couldnt come to an agreement, and charles refused to give baker a shot in 1950-51. but if u look over the statistics, baker has beaten 2x the amount of ring magazine contenders that ruiz has.

Clarence Henry I forgot to add is a much better heavyweight than ruiz

I would also like to add while moore fought the biggest baddest 6'3 + 210lb + heavyweight punchers of his era, jones refused to fight a 38 year old golfer because of his punching power.
