Does anybody think this may happen in the next few years, obv after RJJ has fought green , but surely B-Hop would want to try and overcome that defeat, it would be a fitting way to retire?

i mean i'm not making any predictions here, but surely hopkins must have this in his thoughts, i'm suprised it hasnt came up sooner and hopkins pushed for this fight

In the next few years? I think both guys will be retired by which time! If a rematch happens, then it will happen this year or next, otherwise there will not be one!

As much as I would like to see a rematch, I can;t see Jones committing to it! Roy knows, by having a win over Hopkins on his record is a very competent feather in his cap. I reckon Roy knows B-Hop would be too good for him if they fought each other now!

Despite a surprisingly easy win over Lacy last night, Hopkins is a better fighter now than Lacy has ever been or ever will be, & Bernard is past his peak!

Jones-Green looks set for Cruiserweight. Jones has mentioned about going back up to HW, but who owuld he face? No way he goes anywhere near a guy like Vitali, Haye or Arreola because they would spark him!

Jones won't give Hopkins a chance for revenge. Hopkins would beat him easily and Jones knows it

Jones is scared of BHOP he knows it's the biggest money fight, it would get him huge attention, and a big PPV # so why not? he knows he'll lose!

yeah i see what people are saying and i agree in that i reckon bhop wins if they fight within the next few years, but i certainly dont think RJJ is scared of Bhop. yes his best days are far gone, but he still has some gas. i think it'll be a fitting way for both to retire, big money spinning event, maybe even two fights as if bhop wins the first, they could have a decider

B-Hop get's the 1-up on Jones, Jr. would never allow that to take place.
(Jones defeat being one of the only true blemishes on Hopkins record)

I sure hope it does. It is THE most logical fight for both men.

I personally would love to see this fight come off, and right around now, while Roy is being praised for such a spectacular win, may be the best time to make this fight. it would be an interesting clash too. These two have been virtually inseparable for close to 20 years, they might as well meet again. it's the biggest money fight out there for each guy as well. Hopkins Adamek will sell, but not as much as Hopkins Jones in Vegas or at MSG. This needs to happen and I actually want to see it. I didn't want to see it after Jones was bewildered by Calzaghe

If Jones had beaten Calzaghe, Hopkins was ringside to take him on but we all know what happened there. Hopkins interviewed afterwords pretty much said that Jones is done, that he doesn't have the fundamentals to carry on. I would love to see Jones beat him, it would make calzaghes victorys over both legends look all the more sweeter.

to say Bernard is at the same level or even past his best is just stupid.

they have different attributes which means roy has a more spectacular prime with his phenom athletacism but its shorter because as soon as that freak athletacism goes then its over as he hasn't got the fundamental base to adapt

Bernard on the other hand is not a natural athlete but a better fundamental boxer then roy, therefore he stays longer in his prime and depending on how he looks after himself stays relevent long after the roy jones's fade.

Bernard is arguelly better know then when he was in his 30's and definitely better then when he first fought roy and when he was in his 20s.

to say Bernard is passed it or washed up and suggest a match vs Roy jones would even be competitive is just ridiculous. BERNARDS KNOCKS ROY OUT!

i'm glad to see Roy still has his fans but the man is behond shot and clowning a carcass doesn't prove the contrary to that, he should hang them gloves up, no way is he in shape for the top fighters, if he's to continue then he should continue to pick fighters like lacy where he's gonna make money, enjoy himself and showboat as only roy jones can and not get hurt.
