What Bhops said of Jones after the Calzaghe fight was very true. Hopkins is still fighting and beating the best in the world, while Jones simply is not. I'd rather see Hopkins in a rematch with Joe, of course, Joe never wanted to.

These guys should fight next, while the iron is hot. They would make a lot more money than any other fight. Just because the way their Calzaghe fights went does not mean much to me. Jones still has speed, and if he has the reflexes, he will be a very tough matchup for Hopkins. I did not see the Jones vs Lacy fight, How were Roy's reflexes last night?

y'all forgot.... well i'll remind you. back when jones was considered p4p he made headlines daily saying he wouldn't fight hopkins for anything less than a 60 40 split of the purse. all day he made that stupid 60 40 stipulation.
just the simple fact that roy would have to recognize bhop as todays bigger draw and be subject to ridicule for ever ranting 60 40.
lastly. don'tyou think if hop fights again, he'll have bigger fish to fry? his last fight was victory over undefeated middleweight champ, kelly pavlic. hello

I think if Roy looks good against Green then they can settle for a part 2 summer next year... I'll keep my fingers crossed. Then they can both retire

Loosing to BHOP will make too much of a dent in his legacy

Come on haterz.... Bernard could never handle speed.. even Jermaine Taylor, Joe Calzaghe speed. He wouldn't be able to handle Roy's speed even at 40. Anyone who watched RJJ last night can attest to that. It would be too close to call, but anyone that believes Roy would get spanked by B-Hop is dillusional

Ya well Bernard is 1-0 against "The Inflated Ghost" Kelly Pavlik. He's 0-1 against Roy Jones. I love Bernard but his biggest wins were against welterweights aka De La Hoya and Trinidad.

ROy should've got 60-40 back then. He held the W over Bernard and he was P4P #1. that's reason enough. Manny Pacquaio is P4P #1 now and look at the split he gets against the Welterweight Champion whose title is on the line! Ya'll must've forgot!

  8. 50-50 FIGHT THAT COULD GO EITHER WAY:deal, flip a coin??? Hops will be 45 friggin years old in JAN 2010 RIght around the corner:yep very old for a fighter who turned pro waaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyy back in 87-88, he's not gonna fight at this level to much longer, i lean towards Roy, i can't stand both of them so it wouldn't matter to me who wins:nut...

I'd like to see it. I think it would be a very close fight. hoppy doesn't have the power to hurt jones, but jones has the speed to backup hoppy..

I think JOnes should be trying to avenge the Glen Johnson defeat, Hopkins should fight Dawson and then those two can fight eachother and retire FINALLY

:nutAt that time, 60-40 for Jones was not ridiculous at all.

You're overrating Hopkins based on his win over Pavlik
