close fight. hopkins isn't a real aggressive fighter, unless he is 100% sure he has the upper hand on speed (re: PAvlik). He does not have that upper hand vs. Jones, and Jones still has some power behind those shots. hoppy doesn't like to take too many power shots. this is close.

people would be stupid enough to buy this crap at this stage in both their careers.

F them both for protecting their legacy rather than duking it out.

I am baffeled by some people that actually think this would be competitive, this is an easy fight for Hopkins I dare say even easier then his fight with Pavlik by alot and I fear Hopkins KO's Jones in fearsome fashion.

I am almost positive that anyone who is going for Jones in this fight is a huge Calzaghe nuthugger or has little knowledge of the Jones of today.

if they fought tomorrow i'd still pick Jones....Jones will just do more than Hopkins but the fight will be boring....

Honestly I would pay to see it because I love both of these men. But I know Hopkins would school Jones. This would be a blowout, I even see Hopkins winning a few 10-8 rounds.

I'd pay to see it strictly out of curiosity.... I kind of like it when old timers fight each other, I think its better than fighting the young lions, more of a level playing field. Jones hasn't aged well though and B Hop gets younger every day.
Hopkins by late stoppage, with Jones taking some rounds along the way.

    :huh

How many Hopkins fights have you seen? 2? 3?

Hopkins is the aggressor if thats what his gameplan dictates (Pavlik, Tarver, Oscar, Tito...really any fight pre-Eastman where he started to be more defensive).

My three favorite fighters ever are Whitaker, Hopkins and Jones...in that order...and I DO NOT WANT TO SEE THIS FIGHT! Hopkins would annihilate him...absolutely destroy him.

Did you see how tentative he was to throw against the angles Joe showed him with his movement? Hopkins does that x100 when he wants...

Please let us all hope this fight never gets made...
