Both are primed and ready to go....Jones at his LHW best and Foster at his. Personally I want to say that RJJ dazzles him with speed he's never seen before but Foster could lay him down.

Roy wasn't as great at 175 as Foster was,,I saw an interview with Bob and he was asked about Roy and he said Jones would never get past his jab and he'd get hit sooner or later. I agree

Prime Bob Foster, 1968-1974, vs Prime Roy Jones Jr. Bob was tall, lanky with a snappy left jab and a very crushing left hook. Roy Jones Jr had great foot and hand speed. Bob would keep Roy on the outside with the jab, measuring him for the devastating left hook to come, which lands on Jones Jr chin and puts him to sleep in round 10. Roy will make it interesting with all his gifts, but at some point, he will come off of his twinkle toes which will spell the end for Roy.

People are confusing a past prime RJJ with the prime version. In his prime the best P4P fighters couldn't land on Roy and got lit up. Roy's way too quick for Foster and I could see him knocking Foster out too. Foster has several KO losses and Roy is easily the best P4P guy he'd face

Actually Roy probably started slipping when he started more regularly taking guys the distance circa 2000. Before then the stoppages of Griffin, Hill, Sosa, Mallinga, Tate, Thornton were all unprecidented. World level guys no one else was putting away that Roy dispatched effortlessly

Foster is a bridge too far even for Jones natural talent. Foster has 4 inches of height on him and 5 inches of reach. On top of this he has one of the all time great jabs and wasn't slow of hand. There's no need to even mention his power. He could counter guys moving in with beautifully times bombs. He's one of the few guys that would be able to trouble Jones with his jab. It's just so long, sharp, precise and well utilized. Jones would have to be wary of Foster's counters every time he came in even as will o' of the wisp as he was. It's Foster for me.
