Of course a prime Jones beats Froch, but today Froch by brutal KO mid rounds. As Lou DiBella said after the taylor fight, 'for a guy who looks so beatable, he's very difficult to beat' 25-0 (20)
Did we watch the same fight? First two rounds went to Taylor, sure, but then Froch started outfighting him. Not sure when Taylor gassed but I agree that Taylor is better when his energy is there. I think Roy would tee off on Froch. He's older now and I'm not sure how active he'll be against Froch, but I think he'll either get a UD or less likely a KO. Could be wrong.
HAHAA. still laughing about the Jones glass jaw comments. How do you figure? He's been knocked down 3 times in his illustrious career. Lou De Valle caught him with a heavy shot and he jumped right back up. Tarver hit him with a perfect punch and he still managed to get up. Johnson hammered him with a brutal overhand right and Roy was out cold because he fought too soon after the Tarver knockout and couldn't take a punch. Otherwise, watch any of his fights and when he does actually get hit, it doesn't face him. Hell, he took some hits from Ruiz and it didn't face him. Now, back to the thread.... Jones vs Froch would be an interesting fight. Roy is a shell of what he once was, but come on... Froch isn't a great champion. Roy's still alot faster than Froch and has at least as much power even at 40. That said, I do believe it'd take a very special performance by Roy (one last great performance) to beat Froch.
