You mean Dawson? Floyd likes Guzman and Dawson and they both fight like him, his father trained both so maybe FMJ spent time with them.

Roy would stop Dawson, he is there to be hit by right hands, and has been a lot by fighters with less handspeed and poorer timinig than Roy Jones.

    Jones Jr KO7

Surely to Christ this is tongue in cheek. Watch Dawson v Johnson. Then watch Jones v Hill or Jones v Griffin II or Jones v Woods. Roy Jones would knock Chad Dawson clean out in the mid-rounds after a domination. Dawson's handspeed would be worth nothing, because he wouldn't be getting close enough to land. Two completely different levels of fighter we are talking about here.

Im not so sure you could even say that definitvely yet...Man for man, Montel probably still has the better wins and has shown pretty good longevity as a contender.
I dont think you can compare them in how they would have challenged Roy either..as Montel is over half a foot shorter then Chad and has a style that complements that, just like Chad has a style that complements his physical attributes.

I really think you are jumping the gun a bit Can, Roy is the best fighter of his generation, Chad is barely an established champion yet. Give him time and this fight might get some fruitful discussion.

This is the equivalent of those guys that were making `Pavlik v Hagler` threads before the Pavlik v Hopkins fight......

Roy would mash Dawson into the ground as of this moment in time... let Chad do more to change my mind in the near future.

Roy would drop him a couple of times before winning a wide decision. Too good all round for Dawson.

Floyd Jnr and Floyd Srn split years before Guzman came on the scene, is there a story behind Guzman and the 2 Fs?

yeh against De La Hoya, Maywetaher sr was helping Floyd train, Jnr didnt want him their to start with but then they started to patch up things. Snr then got offered to train Guzman and he took the job and left Jnr who got annoyed and fell out with him again.
