I will be posting my "unwanted" opinion on the outcome of the "Jones vs Green" fight. I will post it on December 3rd, the day after the fight. It will be my final post on this forum, at least until another Aussie fights another fighter that I like. I'm sure this is "GREAT NEWS" to all of you!:deal:good:happy:-D:yep:hey:cool::smooch:thumbsup:razz::lol:

You need to hang around for a least a few days after that to cop 2 or 3 more verbal floggings before you vacate the aussie ESB's "international nut hugging title" :hey

It's nice to know that you want an encore, but I love to have the last word before I disappear. It's been a tradition of mine on many boxing forums.

If RJJ loses to a bum like Green...then that will be clear sign for Roy to hang up the gloves:yep

Roy Jones Jr will go down as one of the ATG's but he should have retired after his win v Ruiz.

While it was distressing to see RJJ knocked cold by Johnson I found it unbearable watching him go down v Calzaghe. Joe got to take advantage of a man who was fighting at 75% then retire undefeated, unlike RJJ who would have destroyed Calzaghe 10 years ago.

While RJJ has been able to put on a show against guys like Trinidad and Lacy the simple fact is that they are well past their best too. Roy Jones has been able to hang around and enjoy himself against harmless opposition but Danny Green is a different story altogether.

I believe RJJ has underestimated Green and will pay a heavy price. At cruiserweight Green will be all power and RJJ will need every ounce of skill that remains in his frame to last 12 rounds against a guy who is set to explode.

At 36 years of age Green is in great shape and has lost little in terms of ability. He has a good chin, his power is better than ever while his fitness will see him easily go 12 hard rounds if required.

Roy Jones on the other hand has found that the first things to go with age are speed and agility....along with the reflexes required to avoid the bombs that come his way. Green will be throwing hard all night and sooner or later I think he'll catch him.

I agree with the fact that RJJ's speed is slowing at his age, however he still has enough speed and far more skill than Green. Jones has skill in the center of the ring as well as skill when he's on the ropes (rope-a-dope). I'm predicting an easy fight for Jones, most likely going the distance making a fool out of Green the whole time! I will be nice and say Green has a punchers chance, but I don't think he's gonna get it!!!

You make it sound like Trinidad and Lacy are 60 years old...when the fact is that they're both younger than Jones! Yeah, they are all past their prime, but Jones is 8 years older than Lacy and performed like he was the younger guy!!! Jones should be considered the harmless opposition at the age of 40, but...guess what...he's not and Green is going to find out for himself on Dec.2:good
