Roy Jones Jr. vs Floyd Mayweather Jr. and let's say that they're in the same weight, who would win?

Floyd couldn`t have taken the hook that finished Griffin in a round, Griffin was a light heavy.

So you`re saying Roy was P4P the best fighter in the world when he turned pro! Floyd reached the top of the P4P rankings at his peak how the hell could Roy be better than that P4P in his first pro fight?

Vaca was destroyed by a relatively young Roy Jones Jr. in one round, in the Light-Middleweight weight-class in 1992. Jones isn`t naturally huge like Tyson is, weight isn`t always about height Tyson`s natural muscle size and bonestructure is much bigger than that of Jones.

I'm assuming that the thread starter was asking "if they were the same sized men". Obviously, Floyd going up to LHW to fight RJJ so that they're "the same weight" would be ridiculous.

I interpreted it as a p4p argument. If you had a WW version of RJJ, he would probably be around 5'8/9 and of average reach (as he has average reach for his own weight class). Floyd meanwhile has a long reach. So they would be both 147, same height, Floyd with a longer reach. Likewise, if you moved Floyd to LHW, he would be about 5'11-6ft, long reach for the weight, one of the fastest in the division but not as fast as RJJ.

    Roy is too fast

Toney had all the smarts of Floyd and couldn't figure him out

No I meant if they fought at LM, taking Floyd when he was 154 v Canelo and pitting him with Roy at the start of his career when he weighed 154 and beat Vaca, it`s hypothetical era v era not when Floyd and Roy were both actively fighting.

Floyd was faster at 154 than Toney was at 160 and he got hit less in his fights than Toney did.

Well if we talking a smaller Roy then he is even faster at lower weight. Isn't this apples to apples discussion. Make them both same size and see who wins. Smaller Roy is gonna be a even quicker, just as all lower weights are.

Roy would have the same speed he had in the olympics when he fought at light middle.

You were upset with how people disrespect Floyd, so you exaggerated your point.

I'm saying Roy fought twice at 154. That green Roy beats Floyd that fought Canelo, Oscar and Cotto 10 out of 10 times.

    Roy would have stopped Mayweather.
Let me bresk it down further for you so you can understand how great this man was-

Sugar Boy Maligna- 2 time champion. Gave both Benn and Eubank problems big time. Had NEVER been stopped. A pros pro.
Fought Roy and Roy TOYED witn him and tben stopped him EASILY.
Stephan Johnson- very soild pro. Fought alot of contenders. Tough game boxer.
Roy fought him in his SECOND bout stopping him.
Years latter Johnson beat prospect Willie Wise and knocked out future champion Pettaway.
Jones had shocking power when he wanted to turn it on. And speed to burn.
Mayweather isn't going to SEE the hook that ends him trust me on that.
