No particular fighter to my knowledge, it was a trained technique. You can see it being applied on film quite early by the likes of Ad Wolgast and Kid Norfolk, among others.

I think Roy had better reflexes, but Floyd uses his better. Floyd has fantastic reflexes, is more technically sound, and in my book, the better fighter. However, I believe Roy's reflexes were superior.

Floyd does things that have never even been done before..Jones is just a regular fast fighter....I seen Floyd do the matrix on Mosley a couple of times....and the things he did to marques was unearthly...stop it bro...U say Floyd's reflexes arent extroedinary...it goes beyond that cuz its an amalgam of reflexes AND instincts...sometimes he predicts what u will do and respond to it before u do it...Roy is great, but he's just a regular fast fighter....its been fighters with those reflexes before him and after him..I understand NO ONE would wanna give someone like Mayweather this sort of credit...I get it bro

It's not really the flashy moves or defensive manuevers that I point at, because I do believe Floyd has better D.

It's when I watch Roy, you can see how quick he reacts to punches coming or openings. He won't do some brilliant move like Floyd does, but he'll move out the way as much as he needs

I think what you're referring to is Floyd's technical prowess.

Not at all..I never seen reflexes like Mayweather...but like I said before...Its a coelecsence of reflexes, and instincts....he's the king of impulses in my opinion tho...split second things he does...he's shapeless...like water...and sometimes when he feints punches, he looks like a cartoon character...like bugs bunny vanishing in a hole under elmer's blazing shotgun bullet..I would NEVER Compare Roy's reflexes to Mayweather..Mayweather is not a human..he's an animal that reveals itself in the ring..a TOTAL creature

Simple really lads, I think Roy was the better athlete. Floyd was the better Boxer.

That's why Floyd can fight at the highest level even while his physical attributes may start to decline.

Roy had instincts too...like when he does the pull counter with the flashy feint...thats not all the way a reflex move...thats an instinct move...u wait, when the guy throws the punch u fade, meet him with the right hand with an AUTOMATIC feint, just in case he throws another punch...sometimes ur moving for nothing...sometimes he throws the punch and u slip right under it like a magician...But thats an instinctual move and a premeditated move

Instinctual isn't premeditated. What you just described is a reflex.

Jones and it's not close, but PBF is the better all around fighter. Jones' peak was higher, but Floyd has the higher skill level and in turn greater longevity. At their respective physical peaks there's no one who would match Jones Jr.

Yea it is...the way Im describing it, it is...its instinctual because ur predicting that he will throw the jab..U feel it and u know its coming...its premeditated, because u do the whole pull-feint as one whole move, and u wait for him to throw it, u fade, and do ya thang

You may be in the minority in calling Jones a regular fast fighter ..

Floyd has done things that others in the past have done. What he's done is nothing extra ordinary lets be honest ..His defense was tailored after several fighters but what makes him a stand out is not his reflexes .Its his Ring IQ and Defense this is why he's always involved in grinders that take a while to finish but to his credit he turns them into clinics..

Jones is a once in a lifetime fighter ..His reflexes is what allowed him to break all the conventional rules of boxing this is why his fall is so dramatic ..The man could generate power from either hand, I mean leaping KO 's 6 to 8 punch accurate combos ? Yeah pull up some vids of Floyd doing that ..

I just don't see the comparison in the 2 when they are 2 totally diffrent fighters ..
