Like a previous post said Jones whole style was based on reflexes and instinct ..Mayweather is more of a thinker ..I don't consider Floyd in the same ball park as Jones in the speed dept this is why the comparison makes no sense . If Floyd could do that in the ring he would have ..

Throwing a 6 punch combination at a moving target?...Thats totally not Floyd's style....even when he puts his punches together, their's a millisecond of space in between them, and what does Floyd being a thinker have to do with him being a cartoon and doing the matrix?....I can barely remember him blocking Shane's punches or catching them on his gloves...He didnt let Shane land on any parts of his body man...Im sorry....I know people just want to let Floyd NOT be the best at something he's naturally good at, so u give it to the guy who's more of a legend..I get it...but Im not on that ****...Im just telling it like it is...homeboy just posted a video of Jones and it was sloppy as hell..I aint never seen Floyd do anything that mediocre...Im sorry bro, but I still understand why ur saying what u saying...U dont have to say Im right...just agree to dissagree!

Parryig punches isn't something new ..Very true it takes skill but againt thats a credit to his defense . The video you saw was of Jones as an ametuer ..Im certain there is vid of Floyd looking like that as an ametuer .

You must have not watch much of Jones in prime then considering what you just said ..I get it now ..We can agree to disagree .

I just said he had great reflexes in his prime...but Floyd didnt EVER look like this as an amatuer....Floyd was ALWAYS gifted naturally...he developed his skills at the age of 6 and 7 yrs old man...watching cartoons n ****, stealing moves from them...he aint NEVER looked like that....there is no such video footage of him fighting that horrible....but kool...agree to dissagree!..This shiet already driving me up the wall

That clip that you call 'horrible' came in one of the most lopsided Gold medal beatings in Olympic history.

Seriously, and I ask this respectfully: have you ever seen a (prime) Roy Jones fight? Because I have a hard time believing anyone whose had exposure to the man fighting in his prime would conclude that RJJ was just like 'any other fast fighter'.

Oh wait you said Jones looked sloppy :lol:Now your sounding like a fan boy :

Floyd wasn't always that sharp ..Here you go since you said he's never fought sloppy ..You see him throwing wide punches etc ..But I know u never seen Floyd fight like that ..

What does the beating being one sided have to do with the reflexes being horrible and unimpressive?...quit trolling

Aight I seen enough of that...its funny u posted this, cuz I was just watching a mayweather tribute video...Floyd is fighting the same way he always fought....Floyd is just naturally gifted like that...in this vid, I guess the style match up is making the fight ugly, but from what I see man,...Floyd looks sharp as hell as always...and this isnt really a good example for u to prove ur point..This is not really a fight where Floyd is really having to use his reflexes...its just an ugly match up and both of the guys are overly aggressive and just smothering eachother...But Floyd looks as good as usual...he's special!

Seeing how Roy's talent and success was based on raw physicality, I have to go with RJJ. I mean, he was so much on another level physically, that he wasn't even a good "boxer" in the classical sense, he was just a superhuman that you put gloves on.

Floyd is much more of a thinking fighter (which sucks cause he's so dumb outside of the ring sometimes). The proof is in the pudding these days at their perspective ages. Mayweather, due to his non-reliance on pure physical dominance will and is having a much longer shelf life, as compared to jones who still is quite fast for his age, but not enough to compensate for his lack of fundamentals.

3:28 he showed a little bt of reflexes when he times him with the left hook I believe....but like I said before, this is not really a good fight for u to show his reflexes....this match up is all wrong...but aside from reflexes what I can say about the match up; Floyd's pride is getting the best of him in this fight...he wants to overpower the guy, and he's too young to see that the guy refuses to backdown...so their just smothering each other and making a very ugly fight...Floyd should back up, let the guy e the aggressor, counter him a few times, make em gun shy, then attack...I know none of this has to do with what were talking about but this fight is so ugly man, I felt like a commentator....two young and scrappy guys just hugging and not getting any shots off...lol..great watch tho

The video shows an un polished Floyd,he's just like every other fighter when they start out ..

He didn't become the defensive wizard he is today .That took time ..What Jones did in the ring was un natural .Both are special but Jones was once in a lifetime ..
