Roy jones Jr vs Floyd Mayweather

Roy's reflexes were more flashy, more there to be seen, with all his showboating. This does not necessarily mean he had better reflexes than Floyd. I think you can vote one or the other slightly better, or on par. That's it.

 

:deal I had to come back and re-read this **** with a sober mind, some good videos and analysis to go with them. This is what I imagined when I came here..

 

Floyd with his style could go the Hopkins route ,becuase he's so much better in the pocket than Jones .. Had Jones not being technical from an early age his fall from greace would not have been so dramtic ..But 2 diffrent styles none the less which are great when effective ..

 

Pound 4 Pound Mayweather would knock Jones out.

That was beyond embarresing , I was in shock at how Roy handled Toney that night , I had Toney being the dominant middleweight of the 90's - the inheritor of Haglers crown , but RJJ turned that on its head .

Like the Ali of the 60's - the RJJ of the 90's was supernatural.

I like to watch BOTH fighters and I don't have any personal bias toward one fighter. Floyd does his showing off Outside of the ring while Roy use to do it Inside of the ring. Both are totally different fighters, Roy excited the casual fan while Floyd has the casual fan and hardcore fans alike.

 

Blah blah blah...that must mean u have a prollem admitting that Floyd had greater reflexes than Roy too huh!...the proof is in the pudding...thats why no one else is even responding anymore!...they all ran out of things to say!

 

And BTW, because you haven't seen Roy Jones fight, you continue to misinterpret the responses in this thread.

A cursory look at this thread shows that the vast majority of the folks who have responded are, by ESB standards, huge Mayweather fans.

Picking RJJ over Mayweather is NOT a diss to Floyd. It's a COMPLIMENT to Jones. Barely anyone in this thread has even said anything negative towards PBF at all. Most have even gone out of their way to acknowledge Mayweather's own reflexes and skills.

This ain't a Mayweather hate thread. You should probably stop treating it and the responses that disagree with you as such.
