    I don't think so.
He was KOd after dropping 30 lbs.
Chris Byrd, a SOLID chinned fella, suffered the same.
And someone else was KOd as well, under similar circumstances.

It doesn't have to be a catchweight, it can be at 160.

Jones by UD. Maybe late stoppage if G-Man tires.

McClellan was a good fighter but he often gets overrated these days because of the "what-ifs".

Could you say that RJJ was solid chinned though before his jump to HW? I don't think so.

How often was he caught though by a man with the power of G-Man?

If McClellan landed one huge shot you couldn't be sure Jones would stil be standing.

McClellan was either the hardest hitting or the second hardest hitting MW of all time. SO not many people have caught with that kind of power.

He got caught from Toney a few times, Hopkins hit him with two flush clean right hands in a row when they fought and both of them had good power. They both stopped World champions when they had not been stopped before.

Also Ruiz hit Jones flush once or twice. Ruiz hit harder than McClellan no doubt.

As good as G-Man was or could have been RJJ was simply on another level. RJJ by UD or late round TKO.

I disagree. I think Jones would've countered him silly.

Like I said before this fight would'nt have even been competitive Roy Jones would have iced Gerald McClellan in 7 rounds.

McClellan stops Roy late at 165?

I can understand people thinking that McClellan might catch Roy early, but I'd suggest that a late stoppage for McClellan is the least likely outcome in this fight. Jones in his prime could do 12 rounds without being out of breath, McClellan (from the evidence we have) faded late.

Well people on here rave on about Calslappys chin and at 35 he'd been down more often than Jones when he'd only ever fought at 1 weight. so why is Jones chin considered so bad when he'd gone through 160, 168, 175 when only being dropped once?

Prime RJJ is very underrated on this site. He would take the G-man, who I feel has become overrated as another poster said because of the what if factor (Which unlike most other fighters doesn't bother me considering his unfortunate fate).
