Boring and cautious fight by both fighters. Only slightly more exciting than the Jones/Hopkins bore fest.

    Do you even like boxing?:huh

Great skills were showcased in the ring that night by 2 great prime fighters. Jones dominated, but Toney did show some amazing defense in that fight. Toney vs. Jones was anything but boring in my opinion. I have seen it several times, and every time I see the first round, I end up getting hooked and watching the whole thing.

Sorry not every fight can be Gatti Ward with no defense . Some boxers have mastered the sweet science . Quit your hate already !

I just pointed to the fact that James obviously looked much better physically and speedwise against Barkley than against Jones. He also looked better physically against Thornton,Littles, Williams etc...But against Barkley and Littles, he looked at his very best physically.

Of course this is not Jones fault and it should not take much away from Jones win. Still a great win for Jones. I just get mad because some folks here think James was 100 % for this fight because he obviously was not.

I agree with the premise, but getting ready for a fight is part of the matchup. Toney didn'[t want to put in the time, and it cost him. Jones wanted it more, trained for it more, and beat him.

Jones jr. is untouchable in his prime period.
