I think Jones can beat Taylor. Jones has been heavier for a longer period of time, fought bigger opponents, used to it, but age could play into it some, still, I would expect Jones to possibly win that one. Taylor will do well early, if not caught.

this fight is perfect for Jones, Jermain Taylor will get suckered into a boxing match and get countered and beat to the punch:bbb .....then RJJ will be at the press conference saying..." I KO'd JT in 5 rounds and Bernard couldnt do it in "TWENTY FO":D

What was Taylor's unofficial weight in his last fight with Kelly? I ask b/c the weight was clearly a big difference in Roy's fight with Tito. Tito was clearly small and weak at that weight. Taylor may not be too affected by it. He'll probably end Roy.

if Taylor can push Jones to the ropes and keep him there he's got the fight in the bag. Jones isnt what he used to be...not even close.:-(

Are you kidding Taylor's achiles heel is the ropes ..If he does manage to corner Jones all Jones has to do is turn him and JT becomes a deer in headlights !

Not to mention he doesn't have the stamina and workrate to consistently execute this gameplan.

    Taylor would beat Jones now

Jones has an abysmal workrate, no legs, and only fights for 15-20 seconds a round. He'd get beat up unfortunately.

Jones is a stupendous announcer and that's what he should be doing now.

Jones could be outworked, but both fight in spurts. Jones could put his lights out.
