Prediction: people will complain about this fight.

But I think it will be entertaining. Calzaghe UD12, pretty clear, but I'd love to see JOnes spring an upset actually.

I don't see Jones losing a decision in this. Calzaghe won't be able to rush in or else he'll get caught with a left hook or two. Jones should be able to land his straight right to the head and body and as long as he keeps his guard up, has a pretty good chance at winning this fight. The odds should be really even.

Well, this was supposed to make TONS more money than a Pavlik fight because it would be in Wales in front of the Calzaghe faithfull? So he isn't fighting Pavlik because Jones will be TONS more money? Most of the ticket sales and PPV's will probably still be from Wales.:-(

But: how? You think Jones is still faster?

You think his stamina has improved? He's in with a class pressure fighter...Joe holds all the aces. Roy needs the stoppage in my view, and I don't see it.

If he pulled it off i'd consider it one of the greatest wins in boxing history and he'd probably lurch into my top 15 all time. Maybe not, but he'd certainly be top 20...assuming Joe hasn't slipped to much.

Depends on what RJJ shows up. I don't think Joe has the power to knock him out even if Jones just shows up to cash in, so if Jones really brings it he's got a real good shot. If not, he'll get "slapped" w/ a UD for Joe.

RJ sounds like he has his confidence back and will come in motivated to earn the UD.

Roy wouldn't take the fight if he thought he would get emberassed. He sees something that is giving him confidence and I think it will be a great fight.
