    And the next superman Lacy

And I can't be bothered talking to you, I thought you had remained in the woodwork too long.

It's great to see this fight taking place in the Garden. It should be a packed house.........

RJJ will not be able to spoil Calzaghe's offense, or atleast to the degree that Hopkins did. This should be a more entertaining fight than Calzaghe-Hopkins. We can only hope.

I still feel that Jones is a live underdog. He brings some punching power, and speed, and and imo will certainly be a live dog in the first half of the fight. One thing Calzaghe always had going for him is his stamina. The longer this fight lasts, the more I favor Calzaghe to pull ahead in the later half of the fight via UD or late round TKO.

Calzaghe really gets his 2nd wind around the 8th and 9th rounds, and will kick it into overdrive - so I feel RJJ needs to take Joe out in the first half of the fight, if he is going to win. I can't envision RJJ winning via decision/him being able to keep up with the pace that Joe will set.

I will not at all be shocked to see a close fight for the first 6 or 7 rounds, and I have to say; I wouldn't be totally shocked if RJJ pulled off the upset.............

With all that said, this fight is a few years too late. I'm only hoping Calzaghe wins, and then faces Pavlik for his real retirement party.

Yes, and we only had to wait 10 years for those fights, against distinctly average opposition - but due to his previous challengers they looked ****ing brilliant. Way to go Joe, you're an all time great :happy :nut :patsch

Won't know until the opening bell, unfortunately. All depends on what kind of condition Jones shows up in. Good chance he'll be thinking that Calzaghe is crap because of how he looked against Hopkins and underestimate him slightly, and also a good chance Calzaghe comes out with something to prove and a ton of fire because of the Hopkins fight. Then there's everything else. ;)

It's all smoke and mirrors, take my word for it. How many opponents has Hopkins dropped like he dropped Calslappy?

Had Hopkins had any kind of stamina left Calslappy wouldn't have won a round against him. Yet the Calslappy fans shout 'genius, Joe adapted' after the fight, completely ignoring the fact that he was fighting a pensioner (and getting owned by him for the first 5 rounds) who just got tired, that's all. Jones is a better boxer than Hopkins, a more natural 175lb fighter, and he won't tire like Hopkins did.

Hopefully Jones will put this **** into the middle of next week.

If you didn't notice, alot of people tend to tire against Calzaghe. His ability to wear fighters down with his pace is one of his biggest strengths.

JC's workrate will be too much for the RJJ of today. I'd luv to see him win & finish his career but just like hopkins found out, its not good been 40+ against a fighter like JC, he's undefeated for a reason.

Roy Jones will shock the world but not me. He wins a close decision in this fight. 5 years ago Calzaghe might of won a round or 2.

Go ahead and name a few of these fighters that tire against Calzaghe. I can only think of 43 year old Hopkins (yeah, Calzaghe tired him  )

    Anyone else?

-Mikkel Kessler, leading after six, dead after 12.
-Robin Reid, leading after six, dead after 12.
-Kabrary Salem, drawn after six, dead after 12.
-Sakio Bika, tough for six rounds, a weak ***** after 12.

I could go on, but you're just going to point at the fighters, laugh and solely because they're not known to America, you don't rate them.

Well let me guess, you were the dumb **** thinking Pavlik would lose to Miranda right?

Couldn't be happier that this fight is finally done. A win for Roy here would be ENORMOUS for his career and a loss IMHO won't hurt his legacy one bit. Joe C is putting alot on the line by taking this fight because he has all to lose and really nothing to gain. I can't freakin wait for Sep 20th now!!!!

it's always easy to pick people who dont really believe what they say.

you want to label people and close doors so quickly because you know you're backing the wrong guy.

he just happens to live in your neighbourhood....
