Monroe was much more aggressive than Jones was, he was looking to hit Hagler with jab all the time and was ready to counter, Jones would not fighter Hagler how fought fighters like Hill, he would be very hesitant.

I agree with the above, but at age 32, how much did he really slow down?

I'm not talking about Halger's offense, rather his defense wasn't as good as Hopkins or Toney's and Jones hand speed would cause problems. That's all I'm saying.

Hopkins and Toney didn`t use any of the skills on this film study.

Although I can envisage a scenario where Marvin could have won, I'd have to have favoured Roy.

Marvin often used to weigh-in at 157 in the days of same day weigh-ins, whereas Roy was bursting at the seams, sometimes weighing 170 on fight night.

Marvin had great skills, power, pressure and a chin.

Roy had great skills, power and a huge advantage in speed.

I think Roy's speed would have caused Marvin huge issues.

How would Marvin have handled Roy's speed?

Roy was at his best at MW.

He was 25 when he left the division.

Who says those shots would have landed?

He fought Leonard a year after Mugabi and couldn't touch him.

Yes, he was faded at that point, but so was Leonard.

    Flawed defense?

    You mean an unconventional defense.

No, he wouldn't have a reach advantage.

How would Marvin have coped with Roy's speed?

You're the guy who'd pick GG to beat Roy, despite GG being easy to hit.

You seriously think that Marvin wouldn't have been hesitant fighting a 170 pound guy with blazing hand speed and an unorthadox skill set?

You've got an unhealthy obsession with these fan videos on YouTube.

The biggest mistake Marvin made in that fight was switching.

He threw the first 3 rounds away by not fighting southpaw.

    Ray got to him psychologically.

Gill Clancy couldn't believe that Marvin kept switching.

Yes, but an unhealthy obsession?! These film studies are very logical, I don`t know why so many fight fans are uncomfortable with them, I really enjoy them, and lie boxing a lot more since I started watching and learning from them.

Even at 170 Roy didn`t hit as hard as Hearns.

Marvin`s reach was long, Roy`s just seemed normal.
