No fault of Chris' then, he tried. He was frozen out of the UK scene so they couldn't fight there because he didn't have a promoter, he'd fallen out with Hearn and Warren and didn't accept Maloney's offer to fight his no-name fighters (though livewires) Griffin and Ashley because Maloney owed him £100 from Feb 89 when Chris was broke.

I think he'd of ended up fighting Roy if he didn't fight Calzaghe at short notice. He was down to fight Mark Prince under Warren on that bill for a 175 belt of some kind and already lined up an American opponent on the Naz-Kelley card.

He rejected an approach from HBO in 96, interestingly.

Hardly War and Peace is it chief?

You expect us to read all of your comments.

It would take you literally 2 mins to read it.

You don’t want to though, as you can’t refute it.

It's waffle and nonsense, lies, meaningless crap, etc.

You post nothing of any substance. Ever. We aren't on the same level.

    Yeah, course he did.

Which is why after the Benn fight, he signed with Sky to fight guys like Dan Schommer and Ray Close.

The point that I was making was obvious.

They were both content to defend their WBO belts against mainly lower class opposition.

    Ha!

    You’re something else.

    You’re worse than Bailey.

I think you’re the very definition of a fantasist.

    He tried.

    Oh Yeah, of course.

He fought 2 tune ups before calling out Roy and Toney, who’d got fights lined up and who went on to fight Griffin and McCallum.

He was never going to fight Roy late in 1997.

Obviously you’ve got yourself some LSD for this lockdown.

No, Mike was asked his opinion on who would win the upcoming Watson-Eubank clash and he said Eubank was a fraud who ducked him so he hoped Watson would beat him.

Roy Jones fights were more high profile than Nunn`s.

I'd leave him to his hero worship. He creates some fantasy alter universe and any shaking of it makes him stoop to insults because he can't handle the truth. He's shown he can't be reasoned with numerous times. Everything is deflection

    Anyway back on topic:

    Jones weighs up his options

Roy Jones Jr took time out to speak to BBC Sport Online about potential fights with Steve Collins and Joe Calzaghe, as well as revealing that he was willing to fight in the UK against Chris Eubank if Eubank managed to capture the world title again.

Collins claimed recently that a fight with Jones was almost a done deal, which is news to Jones and his people.

"Collins must be in a world of his own. My man doesn't know what Collins is talking about, my man Murad Muhammad. Stanley Levin, who manages Roy Jones, doesn't know he's talking about and neither does Roy Jones. Fact is, Collins was offered the fight by HBO but priced himself out. He wanted fantasy money," ranted Jones.

Jones admitted that Joe Calzaghe was a threat, but the Welshman would have to become more popular first before stepping into the ring with him.

"Calzaghe is a danger, he's a left-handed stinger with a lot of pop in his left hand. What he needs to do is build his rep in America first because Roy wouldn't want to fight him for peanuts.

"Calzaghe's fast-handed, he's more talented than Collins and I think he'd of wiped the floor with him," raved Jones.

    And Chris Eubank?

"If he won any of his last three fights then I would of probably gone over to England and fought him, because he'd be giving me something to fight for.

"I know Eubank generates a lot of money in England. But I'd of wanted to leave England with a belt in my possession, not just a pay cheque. It would be the pea**** strut versus the chicken moves.

"If he can somehow be made the WBO number one at light-heavyweight and beat the German (Dariusz Michalczewski), then I'd happily go to England to fight him and I'm sure we'd put on a great show for the fans."

    Sangria and Loudon like this.

After the Benn fight, he fought 15 fights on ITV.

He fought Mormon Ray Close both times on ITV. European super middleweight boxing champion and outstanding amateur with wins over Dariusz Michalczewski and Tiozzo.

Dan Schommer he fought four years after the Benn fight in Sun City due to his viewing figures on SABC over the years. Schommer, coincidentally, also had top amateur wins over Virgil Hill, Tim Littles and Bomani Parker, and stood a long-standing champion in Eubank on his head. He is now a successful businessman in Canada. Who are you? An Internet forum troll.

    I’m not disrespecting Chris.

    I grew up watching him.

YOU have labelled me as being an imbecile.

YOU have labelled me as being a fantasist.

    YOU have trashed my post.

    Okay.

I challenge you to come and refute what I’ve said.

That's wonderful, well done. Nobody cares.

The topic is regarding a fantasy fight between Nunn and Roy Jones, so can you please stop trolling?
