I will. I will bump YOUR OLD thread, where he states he didn’t want another ‘Watson II’ on his hands by fighting Toney. Will that do for you?
Everything I've posted has been of genuine substance and/or fact. I've never seen a single post from you, ever, that had any substance to it. You can't find me one, because there isn't one. It's thousands of posts of uninteresting waffle that nobody really cares about and doesn't really mean anything or affect anyone - that's ill.
How am I trolling? I have merely questioned your posts regarding him wanting to fight Toney, when he said different, in an interview that you yourself have posted. Or do you not want me to take on board what he said in that interview that you posted?
I point out a few facts from 30 years ago and you challenge it with your life, like you can't accept it or get your head around it. I couldn't care less personally.
You’ve embarrassed yourself. I haven’t insulted you. You are the one who’s insulted me and other members, by taking your ball home because we’ve questioned your hero. You’re either a child or you have deep psychological issues.
Who cares if he said different in a recent interview? Fact is he didn't at the time. He wanted Toney at certain points, or he wouldn't of said it. Your gripe should be with him, not me.
I was happy to debate, before he called me an imbecile and threw a tantrum because I questioned some of his posts.
Both of you are last word primadonnas. How many more pages are you going to take up acting like children.
Seriously? It was relevant to the opinion that you made. I was replying to you. What? You can give opinions, but none of us can question them? How is that a debate?
Please tell me how I am acting like a child? He’s had chance after chance. I’m trying to debate him now. I’ve responded to his points and directed him to my previous post, which threw up some interesting questions. The guy makes his points and offers his opinions which he’s entitled to. But then when you try to debate them, he shuts you down by saying they’re not relevant.
Not bad. Best vs best is very interesting, Nunn would've been a literal 160 in the ring though because it was same-day weigh-ins and Jones came in at 170 in 93-94 at middle so that has to be considered. Nunn was strong at 160 weighing that same day as fighting so Would weighing 160 and fighting later the same day have affected Jones? I see Nunn's right jab peppering Jones a lot from the outside, and Jones missing his counter hooks to the long left uppercuts to the body that are mixed in with the southpaw jabs and slapping right hooks as Nunn pulls back out with his long torso or skips to the side with his quick feet. Jones hook counters were retaliation shots all tensed up - he wasn't loose. Nunn was loose and relaxed, maybe moreso than any fighter you'll see. Jones will counter southpaw left crosses however with his lighting rights over, only if they aren't part of a flurry, in which case he can't set himself to get all tense to unleash. I see Nunn simply flurrying in the crosses amongst other shots. Jones won't have an answer. The Jones leaping hook only works against a guy his height or shorter or a crouching tall guy, with the head in that position - with his feet needing to be off the ground it means he can't adjust the height or angle of the hook, or pull it back; that leaves him exposed to counters if he uses it. Similarly leaping uppercuts won't work against a man that tall, long bodied and upright. Jones would have to rely on looping hooks over the top with his feet on the ground, but only when Nunn is covered up (around the guard) or coming forward or he'll simply pull away, take a step back and/or turn side-on and counter/pepper. So a lot depends on tactics or who can force the other into mistakes. If Jones can draw Nunn onto him without being peppered by too many right jabs, and throw wide or overhand hooks to hurt him or simply make him cover up, he can win by stoppage I believe. The issue is that Roy wasn't the best at evading long jabs (see McCallum fight) - unlike, say, Chris Eubank Sr, who remained poker-faced when shots came at him and had the dexterity to evade jabs with the deftest of head movement - he'd twist his neck from shots and look away or close his eyes! So I see Nunn peppering those right jabs in, putting long left uppercuts to the body and flurries behind them and countering Roy's retaliation counters. Nunn would have to throw a lot in this case and so take a few rounds off, which Roy would win. I'd going 8-3-1 type decision (opening round probably even) for Michael 'Second To' Nunn.
