Is Tyson too old to catch Jones or would he just plow over him?

Whatever happened it would have benefited both fighters.

How would being decapitated benefit Jones?

He gets ko'd by an ATG HW instead of a LHW, always trade up in boxing

And however the fight turned out for Tyson, it could not have looked worse than a loss to Williams, or have made him less money.

Jones doesn't get out of the first round.

Would've probably made good money for both guys actually, I reckon this could've sold pretty well to the public.

A lot more so if Tyson was actually the heavyweight champ, but still, good coin here I think.

Jones would have won by a shutout decision. Tyson was too far gone at this stage.

Are you sure about this ? The most recent version of Tyson, imo, that could have beaten a 2003 Jones was circa 1999/2000. At a push.

I'm not sure about a lot of things, this included, but I watch how furiously Mike comes out in the first round against Lennox Lewis, and I have my doubts that a Roy Jones Jr could have weathered that assault. The difference in physical strength would be astronomical.

Tyson looked pretty good against Ettiene, actually in impressive shape weighing 225lbs. People accuse Ettiene of taking a dive in that 1 but the man look like he snapped his ankle on the way down

I agree. If it's the Jones who fought Ruiz '03 he'd be just too quick for Tyson though Mike would still have a puncher's chance even being a shell of his former self. If slow Ruiz can get RJJ then maybe just maybe Tyson of that time could too. It's a BIG maybe.
