Nah yo. Look at the crowd..... that was Roy's family and some retirement home folk sneaking out late. This was the saddest excuse of boxing. They stopped the **** when dude was not even hurt. The ref seen blood and said NO MORE...lol. This **** is real life comedy.
The scary thing is between Lashley's WWE fans and RJJ's old hanger ons, there could be a SEQUEL to this thing...
Omar was walking through all of Jones' punches, and landing a few of his own, there was NO NEED to stop this fight at ALL. NO WE DON'T WANT YOU BACk. This is some corrupt bull****, a black eye for the sport.
I wouldn't have stopped it there but I've seen worse stoppages. Roy was four rounds to zip up, and was getting more dominant as the fight wore on. Barring a fading by Roy in the later rounds, this was headed for a very one-sided demolition. I would have let it go another round or two, but the outcome would have been the same.
lucas, in my opinion did not give him a good fight at all. roy just kind of toyed with him aimlessly. lucas never came close once to even being in the fight. not once close to even landing cleanly. i give lucas credit for hanging in there, but that does not make it a good fight. i mean kelly pavlik went the distance with hopkins and did not give him a good fight.
Yes but we knew that before the fight, why didn't they stop it then? If Sheika had any remote chance of winning it would have been when Jones tired down the stretch. He was not hurt in the slightest... an iffy stoppage.
