dont get this post, tyson has the better offensive skills. Roy jones is the taller man.

Tyson had speed skill and power.he wasn't much slower than Jones but was much stronger and hit harder .Jones would beat a big bloke with limited skill and speed that isn't tyson.

 

Not a great way to prove your point on size. Like many said before Tyson was very skilled also. And would be totally wrong for R.Jones. In fact I'll argue the point your trying to make, but in reverse. Though Tyson would be all wrong for Jones, Jones was able to go up to heavyweight, and dominate J.Ruiz. How was he able to do that? His skill level, thats how, though Ruiz had the advantage in being a naturally bigger man . He was totally out classed by his opponents skill level. So yes a smaller man can beat a bigger man, if the skill level completely favor the smaller man.

 

Jones had tremendous offensive skills. You can take an excellent athlete and throw him in the ring, but if hasn't learned punch techniques, he can't do anything. Jones had punch tecnique. Punch techique is a component of "skills."

The problem was he did not have great DEFENSIVE fundamentals.

He used quick reflexes to avoid shots and counter very quickly.

Once his reflexes slowed, he was much more vulnerable defensively. Then, his less than great chin was exposed.

But, a fighter does not accumulate all the great wins and titles Jones did without being skilled.

You will argue my point.

Your inflated ego - seeing yourself as the resident expert on here will compel you to do so.

But, I do not believe you to be the objective expert you see yourself to be.

 

Spinks would be a better match up for Jones, but not Tyson.

 

And Tyson that fought Botha. No aggression, no movement, just look like a punching bag. At least he still look fast in first round against Lewis although gassed out quickly after that. Against Botha, its merely that one-punch KO punch that literally saved him. Botha is slow fighter and Tyson still couldnt see his punches coming, let alone Roy Jones punches. So I'd give Jones some chance to beat that Mike.
