Tony "Tub of Goo" Tubbs had skills and good power for a big slob........ But in 1985 at 229 pounds, he beats the ever lovin' **** outta Royale "With Cheese" Jones in a time machine....

Tubbs is loads faster and more talented than Ruiz. I'm thinking bad matchup for Roy.

What is with the obsession for Royale Jones? Christ, he was good to great between 160 to 175 pounds, but as a heavy, he is a nobody........ Cheers......

Tubbs is far too big and experienced to lose that one. Roy Jones/Leroy Jones, now that could be fun.

Give me a tub of Tubbs in this one. And he'd beat him to the post fight buffet!

As a heavy he beat Ruiz. Ruiz had recently split 3 fights in a row with an aging Holyfield who was immediately coming off his two Lewis fights. I can see someone being curious on this one.

Because Roy had tons of speed, even against Ruiz who isnt the slowest of the heavies. In my opinion he could have beaten a good amount of the land tortoises of the late 90's, just by speed alone. Tubbs was technically a good fighter with fast hands and feet even though he was round as a mound.

Tubbs was quick and accurate and so much bigger than RJJ, he'd win this on points.
I like Tubbs' skills, the way he puts punches together and switches up from body to head and from outside to inside. If only he'd been more active and kept in better shape, and stopped with the cocaine and partying.

This is a complete insult to have Tony Tubbs beating Roy Jones....Tubbs doesn't even have that much power 47 wins with 25 knockouts....

Who the hell has Tubbs beat just greg page?? that's it. I have Jones winning comfortably maybe even winning by knockout...Tubbs doesn't have the best chin...

    He nearly beat Riddick Bowe.

Who has Roy Jones beaten at heavyweight? John Ruiz?
