Well GGG wins against Barkley no question. However I favour Barkely over Canelo. Styles make fights

I actually think Barkley would have had a good chance against the 2018 version of GGG.

Eubank Jnr isn’t even a poor man’s Roy Jones. He doesn’t have any of the gifts that Roy had. I would expect Canelo to easily beat him.

I'd give Jacobs, Kovalev, Smith and BJS all good chances. Barkley is getting wildly overrated. Don't know if it is because he beat Hearns or lost to Duran or both.

EDIT: The Kova that Canelo met might have had too little punch resistance left for Barkley, even though Barkley wasn't the sharpest of punchers. The Kova of the fight before I'd give a good chance, though.

People discount the fact that a 36 year old Floyd Mayweather outclassed a Canelo with forty five fights under his belt ... imagine a prime Jones .. ?

I'm having a hard time seeing Barkley beating Canelo.

    I don't overrate Barkley.
But his wins over Kinchen, Olajide, Hearns x2 and the destruction of D.Van Horn do stack up quite well against Canelo's recent opposition.

I've never rated Kovalev highly, never understood all the hype, but at his best he probably does beat Barkley. However, the version who faced Canelo was a mere shell.

I think that might look quite much like Toney-Barkley. I think Canelo would have a field day.

Yeah, I just added an edit about that version. Must have been right after you replied.

Him against Jacobs, BJS and Smith would all be competitive fights imo. The version of Kova that Canelo beat would still give Barkley huge issues, but seeing how gone Kova's punch resistance looked at that point I think Barkley would get to him sooner or later.

Not all. Toney is in different class. I think Barkely outhustles Canelo who has a low punch output

Hearns was supposed to have a field day with Barkley too.

Barkley won a lot of fights where he was an underdog.

Barkley was fully expected to get past a 37yo Duran too.

Hearns and Canelo could hardly be more different. Canelo has a heckuva set of whiskers and is a brilliant defensive fighter.
