I'd fancy RJJ here, with the caveat that I don't fancy RJJ's chin against Canelo's power, if you know what I mean.
Why not? Barkley was stopped by Robbie Sims in six, knocked out in the first round by Benn, stopped by Maske, dropped by Olajide, was dropped by an ancient lightweight and got painted by the closest fighter stylistically he fought to Canelo. Canelo could and would stop Barkley.
At 168 I think Toney was a more technically capable fighter than Canelo with nearly as much punching power. Jones absolutely schooled him in that fight. Toney had no answer for Jones hand and foot speed. Canelo is no faster than Toney, and tends to plod his way towards his opponents. A prime Jones at 168 would play with him. I think it would be an easy UD win.
Why stop the fairy tale there tho? On the same night Barkley stops GGG in 6 rounds only due to already having 4 rounds under his belt, as easy as they were. A week later Ran slips up to 175 and ices Beterbiev in 2, whose openings comparative to Canelo one could drive a truck through. With no more decent challenges available and Usyk no longer being at cruiserweight Ran leapfrogs straight to heavyweight and finds Deontay Wilder on the comeback trail. After a slow couple of rounds Wilder powers through Ran's defense with a slightly harder left hook right hand combination than that of which dropped Fury. As Wilder begins his cut throat celebration a completely unhurt Ran powers home a single right hand just above Wilders right glove and a pre-diet Adele powers straight into the chorus before Widler has even hit the floor. At this stage Joshua point blank refused to face Barks. There's only one man left. For 6 rounds Ran thoroughly outboxes Fury, slipping his jab and pounding to both body and head. ESB's classicists are in ruptures as rumours run riot among the commentary team that Barkley weighed in with pockets full of Half Union coins to get to 201 and is actually bang on 187 pounds. Fury, realizing he can't outbox the smaller man decides to make his size count. To his surprise Ran manhandles him in close and brutalizes him using a combination of techniques anywhere from the 40's to the early 80's. Fury, seeing the writing on the wall tries to enter a silent agreement with Ran but no 60's, 70's or 80's prior ex black Spades member is going as Ran steps up the pace and finishes proceedings very abruptly, later saying "I knew I had to go street and go get him, and then Boom!"
You forgot the ending, whereby Barkley is bathed in golden light and floats up to sky on a cloud, to a backtrack of 'Let's Groove' (Earth, Wind & Fire). This content is protected
