Round 5

Benmakhlouf is diving in, arms wrapped around his face, throwing wide uppercuts on the way in to lean down on Jones and missing. Jones covers up, meets Benmakhlouf and holds ground with his arms up to grind in between quick hooking combos. Jones shrugs off and scores in flurries, then locks horns again with Benmakhlouf, whose uppercuts are telegraphed enough for Jones to easily slip them even at point blank range.

Jones isn't looking all that bad honestly, but it's slightly embarrassing not to have finished Benmakhlouf at the halfway point...and if he fails to get the job done in the 2nd half it's cause to be majorly shamefaced .

 

Round 6

Benmakhlouf is stepping forward now with big long right hands and hitting arm. Jones is shielding himself, backing up and waiting for a natural opening before tossing in hook and uppercut combos. Benmakhlouf tries his uppercut on the inside but is still missing it as Jones leans back. They exchange and Benmakhlouf plants a left hook on Jones' chin but doesn't phase him. Quick combos by Jones, mostly to the body, between the frequent shove-clinches.

Uppercuts by Jones, getting pushed into the ropes and working comfortably off them, dipping against them for buoyancy. Benmakhlouf is shoving Jones across the ring bodily, using his arms like a janitor's broom. Jones is letting Benmakhlouf guide him where he wants, not resisting, using the momentum to comfortably toss counters in bunches while sliding on the balls of his feet. Wide slaps by Benmakhlouf, mostly blocked. Jones and Benmakhloufengage in some mutual showboating at the end of the round, both dropping their arms with tongues sticking out. :yep
