Roy Jones Jr - what I've been saying all along

RJJ might not beat Dawson, but he'd give him a run for his money. Who knows - maybe Dawson couldn't handle those quick power punches.

 

Chad would knock him the **** out. RJJ might look good against the limited Lacy, but dawson is a whole other animal. Fast hands, reach, southpaw, combination, defensive.

No way can you draw any conclusion from this fight to Chad Dawson.

 

If Roy can get to that lanky body of Dawson and land those vicious body shots then who knows....

 

I think you need to relax for real. Man i knew many here will say something like this. Yes Jones easily destroyed Lacy and look like the old Roy Jones but this was against a decline shot Lacy who has no defense and has been busted open in mostly all of his fights. Like i said Dawson is a whole another level. Dawson won't be like lacy leaving himself open. Dawson also got great speed. I think it be a good fight but i just see Dawson winning it cause he will throw combination punches on Jones while Jones waits for a sneaky shots.

 

I'd like to see him finally rematch Hopkins

 

Agreed -- I think Roy would lull him in and just lower the boom at some point. Just set him up like Roy can do.

I don't think Roy will be on Chad's Seniors Tours checklist.

the guy is washed up and shot to ****, clowning a carcass doesn't mean he's ready for bad chad, he'd beat him worse then Calzaghe.

what we all should be saying is this man must retire, if he doesn't then i won't be mad if he continued to take these type of fights, were he can make money but not get hurt. but really he should and i would like to see him hang them up.

Calzaghe was mostly throwing feather fisted punches. Dawson hits harder and is faster himself. But i guarantee you Dawson won't keep himself open like Lacy did. If Jones believes he still got it and all that then why he wants to fight Green and not a real fight vs Dawson if Dawson beats Johnson again? And why doesn't Jones fight Johnson again? This is the same Johnson that ko Jones badly.

 

I don't think that you should look past green. Danny is a ferocious pressure fighter w/ massive KO power at lightheavy, and roy can't take rounds off vs green and lay on the ropes. If he does green was crush him.
Don't use the mundine scenario against green to say that roy will do to
green what mundine did, and add to the fact was green was severly, and almost dangerously weightdrained. At this higher weight green is a totally
different fighter. Jones vs green is a pick'em.

You might think Dawson lost to Johnson in the first fight but it was still a very close fight while Johnson dominated Jones in which Johnson not only beat Jones but knock Jones out cold.

 

Man, there are some serious ****ing clowns on this forum masquerading as boxing fans. Anyone who is picking Jones to beat Dawson based on this performance should be shot.

And LOL at the TS claiming Lacy gave Taylor hell.

 

I guess he thinks since Lacy hit Taylor on the back of head (illegal punch) that Lacy gave Taylor hell lol. Taylor easily won that fight.
