    ...

you have an assignment from the Classic Section. Read, read, read the posts. Don't post until further notice. Stay around, but just read and expand your knowledge base.

Dont listen to anything this clown posts.

He is some punk who has been watching boxing for a handful of years..

Just a typical newbie that doesnt know his **** about the history of boxing and the greats that have come and gone..

I would say anywhere between 15 - 40 for roy, really is hard to say...

Head to Head Prime 4 Prime roy could easily be top 10 but with loses to tarver and johnson who knows.Really tainted what was a untouchable legacy..

Dont get me wrong roy is the business but:

P4p top 10 FORSURE like tliang1000 seems to think...

    Probably not...

Im only 21 but even i have enough knowledge to know that roy isnt a garunteed top 10 p4p legend..

2 many newbies jump online watch a few youtube clips read afew stories then jump on claiming all these modern day fighters are bigger and better than what they really are..

TLIANG1000 nearly every post you makes is of one that has clearly only watched and studied fighters of 90's-2000's era and forgot to realise the sweet science has been around alot longer.

I aint no legend but you for one will never be a respected poster on this site you dribbler.:tired :tired

Borderline Top 20, I'd say. Probably just outside.

Many overrate him to the point of absurdity, but in this section, he will hopefully be reasonably ranked.

He could squeak into a top50.

    50-100 would be reasonable

Gentlemen with all due respect - we have not set the guidelines for this ranking.

Attractive style? (high marks from me)
Popularity? (high marks from everyone else)
Mastery of Boxing Technique? (low marks fom me)
    Reflexes? (highest marks from me)
    Maximizing MONEY? (high marks)
    Maximizing LEGACY? (low marks)
    Chin? (middle of the road)

Where does everyone have him in their P4P all time rankings?

In the classic section we recently had an animated discussion of the best LHW's of all time focusing on the top three - Roy didn't figure in that discussion. IF he isn't top three in the LHW's he isn't likely top ten all time P4P here either.

I think you will see see that if you take everything into account an ALL-TIME top ten isn't likely (especially P4P) compared to

    Henry Armstrong
    Sam Langford
    Jimmy Wilde
    Harry Greb
    Archie Moore
    Sugar Ray Robinson
    Bob Fitzsimmons
    John Edward Kelly
    Micky Walker
    Roberto Duran
    Willie Pep
    Eder Jofre
    Benny Leonard
    Ricardo Lopez
    and Muhammed Ali

I think he's the most difficult modern subject. Top 10 is far too high for me.
